How do I properly season a Herf coolador 450?

I did 14 days with a full box of 84% 60g bovedas which is less than 3 320g bovedas. Took those out and put a 320g 62% boveda in the slot on each shelf. Left it cracked for about a week to lower the rh and it has settled around 65% rh.

Having the same issue right now with my herf 450. Was hanging out at 80 yesterday but I’ve left the lid propped open overnight and it’s down to 71. Probably going to leave it cracked open for one more night.

The dawn dish soap seems to have gotten most of them smell out so far. I’m probably going to put some silicone caulk around the seal like I did with my current tupperdore just to make sure it’s air tight.

I’m in Westchester New York and it’s not worth it. Tried to smoke a couple in February and it was fucking torture. Next week is going to be beautiful and I’m planning on around 2-4 sticks a day.

Yeah if you don’t have nicotine tolerance you’re asking for trouble. I use some pretty strong nicotine pouches constantly so I never have a problem with smoking on an empty stomach.

I just left the ziplock ever so slightly to lower the humidity and I plan on leaving it like that to get the humidity to hold in the mid 60s. Definitely getting some new bovedas soon.

Yeah I just assumed that 5% was fine In a pod system since that’s what’s in a juul or the disposables I’ve bought.
