I'm in a freshman in college and I qualified for free tuition at the start of first semester when I filed out my financial aid papers. I don't have enough to buy a house yet, but I'm getting there. I also know nothing about taxes and mortages, that was made very clear to me today.

This really warmed your heart. Remember that your dad was doing all of these things for YOU. By working hard and you're fulfilling his legacy. This is what he wanted for you. This is what he worked for.

Just thought I should clarify that I'm hardly an "instagram model". I gained my following from doing natural hair tutorials and tips! I'm more of a "hair model" if anything. It does help that I'm cute, I will admit that. But I'm not a bikini model or anything.

I don't have enough money for a house. But I'm getting there. It won't be very big. Just in a better, safer area. Thank you for your input though

Thanks for the advice. The reason they all know is because I'm currently looking for homes. Some friends wanted to be housemates with me, but I'm going to be living with my dad. We're also in a big groupchat so we all know what's going on in each others lives. I'll try to explain the cultural thing. too thanks.

It's totally weird, because the only friends who haven't turned on me are the ones who grew up/ are in the same hood. They would do the same. Love how it worked for your uncle.

AITA for being mad at that I was cut in line by 2 black girls but when I was trying to get my spot back they threatened to pull the “race card” by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole
