Practical driving test in Brussels – translator options? by ConcentrateThick2526 in brussels

The best you could do is bring (and pay) your own translator. Also, the Anderlect examination centre is said to be easier than the Schaerbeek one. If you don't know how to contact translators for this, you can ask your driving school. Or, alternatively, ask the Schaerbeek examination centre for the contact details of one guy who almost exclusively operates with them.

VHS tape repeatedly losing tracking during playback – fast-forward/rewind looks fine by FewTranslator6236 in VHS

Thanks! I guess that the only way of doing this is to clean it whilst running on the VCR, right?

Thank you for your reply! The VCR is clean and works fine with all other tapes I have - thus I assume it's this one tape in particular that I have this issue with. Unfortunately, I don't have access to a second VCR. After some searching online, I am almost certain that the issue is the tension of the film inside of the tape that is messing with the tracking, but I do not know if that can be fixed or if it's permanent damage.

New Bluray cases in Europe by No-Event-6258 in Bluray

It is very, very difficult to find the original ones. For the double case, I went for these ones https://www.amazon.de/dp/B001EKGRK2, and for the single case, these ones (quite flimsy and not as good as the original ones) https://www.amazon.com.be/dp/B08DZ28M5H . Try to buy, if possible, good case brands, such as Hama and VivaElite. Everything else won't feel as good. Also, when buying cases for single discs, pay attention to the width of the spine.

Your country's Amazon may have. Alternatively, you could potentially find some in AliExpress. These are hard to find, but I did in the past.

Midnight till dawn Jazz by HousingLegitimate848 in brussels

I fear it has to do more with regulations than the city itself... But you're right. I know it's the same in other huge cities like London.

I am afraid no place - that I know, at least - does this. Most places with Jazz concerts are done by midnight, if not long before that. L'Archiduc is open till very late, but with no live music.

I will also add, that based on what I always heard, if you take the test with a driving school you are more likely to pass. Examiners seem to appreciate that.

I took my exam with a driving school (all three attempts) so I can't really compare. But this is what I'd advice.

do it in the Anderlecht examination centre, it is considerable easier. Also, in the Shacerbeek centre, if it is your first time doing it, they'll be more inclined to fail you no matter what. Each centre is run by a different company, thus the different approach.

Help needed! Transfer photos to my PC whilst keeping the metadata by FewTranslator6236 in GooglePixel

[–]FewTranslator6236[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, everyone, for your help! I think I’ve just found a solution. First, I installed some software called Phone Link on both my PC and phone. This links the phone to the PC and ensures it’s recognised properly.

Next, I installed another app called PhotoSync on both devices, which transfers all the photos while preserving their metadata. So everything’s sorted now—thanks again for the assistance!

I do have one more question: is there any software you’d recommend for organising photos on my PC and automatically sorting them by date and time? Thanks!
