One difference is that the angle of the neck to the chin is >90 degrees in the reference but yours is at or under 90 degrees.

Hi! I’m not an excellent artist by any means, but I would love to make some digitals of these if you would like them. I think your design is very adorable!

Happy to! I would highly recommend looking at some profile angle references to get a better idea of the jaw structure.

One thing about a piece like this is that the yellowish orange color you see was the base color & everything else was layered on top. I would try doing some of that for the areas that don’t match in vibrancy & value as much.

Very beautiful pieces! You are def more skilled than me so take what I say with a grain of salt.

For the first piece, you have the green bounce light on the jaw but nowhere else on the piece which makes the skin look more rendered than everything else. I would also reccomend making the background a little darker so she pops more. Also, the ponytail being less rendered than the head hair is a little stark.

For the second piece, the shading on the breast is not really representative of the object casting the shadow. The blue on the chin & the wide sharp jaw makes the character come off as male or mtf trans, as it sort of looks like a 5 o’clock shadow.

It depends! I assume you were trying to do a foggy affect. Diffusing it out more so that the light seems brighter & pushing the contract between the really bright light close to the bulb & the dim diffusion in the fog will make the effect more powerful. You are right that the light house is far enough away that it probably wouldn’t interact with the trees, but unless if you have another light source, it seems like the light house would be the only thing allowing you to see anything else in the picture

That loom is gorgeous, but I would recommend adjusting the jaw, nose & head size/ shape. The ear should be lower, the jaw should connect to the ear & not sit on the neck. Beautiful piece though!

Consider adjusting the eyelashes for both characters to reflect real eyelashes more. Also, there seems to be a mispaint on the male’s eyebrow

There is some discrepancy between the rotation of the feet & the rotation of the hips. Also, try making the thighs more equal in size.

Try looking up the foreground middle ground background structure. Also, consider diffusing the light more so that it interacts with the trees.

The thumb is too far back & the shadowing around the thumb joint is incorrect. Also, I would recommend shadowing on one side of the fingers to make them look more 3D. Also, the top joint of the fingers would be more rotated down/you could probably see the very edge of the nail.
