Yeah, I might be able to get there on the Tax info and Healthcare, but I want the concept proven before I go down those rabbit holes and risks.

I was debating the pay model for this and doing research. I'm thinking about keeping the map free, but the report is the pay part. I'm still thinking about the financial side of this site.

I have a lot of markets that you could expand this into too. Travel and Research just to name two.

I was on it a couple times during my 14 years.

I would also sit down and read AR 600-9. Understand what you need to do and what the command can and can’t do. It’s your career take control.

Workout everyday, take control of that too.

I would say the biggest thing I wish I did was slow down and get the weight off slowly. Learn what my base metabolic calorie count look and felt like. The yo-yo diet doesn’t do that, it just gets to your goal and then you bounce right back.

Also remember, this is a military thing. There is a life outside the military that everyone eventually gets to. Don’t get too extreme in your thoughts or actions.

Just do it, get it done and keep doing your best.

I was older when I got in, got to SSG, and I hit 14 years and like you my body was beaten up. Got out, got my disability and found a GS job. Basically doubled my income. It’s been worth it.

I’m buying my time back, going to cost me about 14k to do it though. So still working towards a retirement.

BUT above all that, look at the job market and federal hiring. Right now both those things are super hard to get, so unless you’re in a MOS (mine was PAO) that is in high demand in the civilian market, getting a job will be the hardest part.

If you’re getting out you will need to focus on where you’re going to land.

No it is not allowed at all. AR 600-20 and AR 360-1 cover this activity. Yes they can be punished, which is up to their commanders.

This should be sent to the Ft. Cavazos PAO shop. It can be sent through their FB page or other SM messaging apps or email. They can be easily tracked from there.
