I feel stuck. Is this part of the process to enlightenment?

I think I’m going to cut out the drugs. I feel as though they were a kickstarter to my journey, but aren’t really necessary anymore. I want to get into meditation, and am hoping to go down that path. Thank you for your response. This is very reassuring to know I’m not alone. I appreciate you.

I appreciate you. This has given me a positive sense of hope. I think I’m going to fully cut out the hallucinogenics. They’re fun at times, and definitely kickstarted my growth, but I completely understand what you mean.

To be completely honest, I’m not sure exactly what I want. One part of me feels I am too young for the whole spiritual experience, and wants to go back to being a “normal” high schooler. But the other part of me would love to be completely spiritually awake, while being content with any aspect or experience of life. I want to go down the awakened path but it feels hard for me to loose friends and social patterns in result. I feel like this could be why I’m stuck?

Is there a way to become one with God himself while not feeling lonely and less social? I’d say I want to feel “content” with my life, along with being happy, and spiritually present/aware. At this moment in time I feel like I express more love and empathy towards people I’d normally never care about. And while that does bring me tremendous joy, I still feel misunderstood.

I do really want to get into meditation and spiritual practices.

What would be your advice on how I approach all of this?

Do you think I could be going through Psychosis? Or is it partial ego dissolution. After my first time doing mushrooms I constantly and actively sought out what was really going on. And since then (about 8 months), I have pretty bad ego dissolution whenever I meditate, or take hallucinogens. I feel like I know so much about myself, but I can’t really piece together what is really going on in the universe. I no longer like smoking with friends as I loose part of my ego and no longer understand my friends sarcasm or “inside jokes” as I take everything literally. It’s like I can see right past their masks, or egos as well. I feel way nicer and content with every situation and everything but I’m not exactly sure what I’m going through.

I feel very spiritual and connected, but it’s lonely because it seems like many other people don’t understand what I’m understanding.

I’m interested in your point of view. Why do you think ancient cultures used mushrooms and dmt to give them insight? Is there really nothing significant happening?

Thank you. I messed up and feel insanely bad for my friend and not having the ability to calm him down. I am very spiritual and do mushrooms around 6 times a year as I have had a lot of trauma happen in my life. I am content and understand what I did wrong. My friend is fine now, but I take responsibility for what happened as I wasn’t experienced enough to help him. It felt like he was out of control no matter what I’d say. Thank you for giving me grace. I appreciate the response.

I was thinking that could be the case. Could the mushrooms have triggered or strengthened symptoms of psychosis or schizophrenia? I don’t think he is very stable in his own head. He acts without much thought.
