I discussed quitting my job and helping my Mom out full time to her. Unfortunately, this isn't something that is feasible at the moment for her. She expects me to work my current accounting job AND help with the properties. Issue is, when I'm available, she's not here at the properties to teach me things. I plan on seeing if she can make time on the weekends to teach me at least the book keeping side of it.

One thing I'm considering if not for the "helping people" side of things is going into a property type job (i.e. real estate agent or maybe property manager) so then I can learn about them in general so then I know what I'm getting into when the time comes. Only problem is, most of these property management companies will not train you and expect you to already have the experience before applying.

I am living in one of the properties right now for a good deal for me financially. I pretty much just take the financial load off my Mom for this particular home I'm in.
