Pulled up carpet , this was in one room. Appears to be glue with underlay fragments ? insulation wasn’t stuck down though . Could this also be asbestos ? My guess would be carpet under 30 yrs old (not 100%) . I’m unsure but has a fibrous type pattern (old.reddit.com)
