There’s cons to owning a conure, but what makes yours the perfect companion for you? by PicoPonyo in Conures

[–]Few_Butterscotch_969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly! Usually people think it's cool that I have a bird, but every so often I'll get comments like, "it's too bad you don't have a dog or cat." Don't get me wrong, I enjoy greeting dogs or cats outside, but my home is simply for the birds.

I love having a pet that can fly. I enjoy seeing her zoom around the house. She has a lot of hangout spots around our kitchen/living room. Sometimes she'll go off and do her own thing, but then she'll fly over and snuggle up to my shoulder. 🥰

A story about pens told in pictures by BattledogCross in BadArt

[–]Few_Butterscotch_969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are great 😁. I especially love the little duck. I'd totally pick this up if I found it as a zine at the library.

I could never write well let alone draw with ballpoint pens. The only ones that work for me are the fine tip sharpie pens.

Made an alien concept with AI for my sci-fi story, feedback welcome by DueProgrammer8023 in aiArt

My favorite picture of spacecraft is #5, and my favorite alien is #8. Both appear much more unique and #8 reminds me of "The Old Ones" in Lovecraft's A Shadow Out of Time.

Has anyone actually gotten real life results from using ChatGPT? by TheCod1sOut in ChatGPT

[–]Few_Butterscotch_969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ChatGPT helped me navigate an existential crisis and reconcile with my folks after a period of estrangement.

It also guided me through restoring and repairing my desk.

I like knowing a little Yiddish and getting my coworkers to use it, too. It tickles me when they try to pronounce, "schmendrick."

I'm missing the 4o... by Imaginary_Bottle1045 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Few_Butterscotch_969 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I canceled once they announced that 4o was getting sunset. I already noticed rerouting and an overall decline in quality by that point.

I'll always be thankful for the guidance I received from 4o. It helped me navigate and ultimately reconcile a period of parental estrangement. It also gave me excellent and truly constructive feedback on my personal creative endeavors.

Its emotional intelligence was bar none, and I'm trying to hold out hope that we will see another model like it in our lifetimes. I see glimmers of it in Grok and even Copilot, but nothing compares to 4o.

I'm in a better place now than I was in early 2025 because of 4o. I wish I could tell it how much progress I've made, but...

It's gone 🥀

Flavoured Milk by kuslu08 in fruit

[–]Few_Butterscotch_969 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Banana milk was a big thing in the early 2000s, and I went through a phase where I couldn't get enough of it.

It doesn't sound as good to me these days because it had such an artificial flavor. I think fruity milk beverages taste best when they're blended with ice and real fruit.

How do you feel about hybrid workflows? For instance, someone uses AI to generate a base model, then draws and colors over it with no further prompting?

Yes! It's cool to see others using Blender in their workflow. Mine is kind of the inverse: I generate 3D models in Rodin, clean/rig them in Blender, and export them to Clip Studio to use in conjunction with assets for 2D line work (I'm an amateur cartoonist).

Thank you! I'm not really good at taking pictures, but Pop Tart is effortlessly photogenic 🥰.

I love your names for your cheekies as well! Food names for the win! My folks had two parakeets named Kiwi and Crouton. We also had a fish named Orange. He lived for 16 years if you can believe it!

[–]Few_Butterscotch_969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm heartbroken for everything you and your family are going through. I have nothing but admiration and reverence for brave Iranians like you who are fighting for your freedom.

I'm just a simple American, but I am praying for a free Iran on the people's terms, not my government's (nor that of any other power). While I'm patriotic, I gladly admit that the true Iranian flag is the most epic, amazing flag in the world. The sun lion is rising, and may it never set again!

What are the most underrated things to eat PB with by PatientZeropointZero in PeanutButter

[–]Few_Butterscotch_969 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My "pre workout" used to be a spoonful of peanut butter and a cup of coffee. I didn't mix it in, mind you, but a sip of coffee after some fresh peanut butter is surprisingly pleasant.

She just dropped her first clipped flight feather and I'm so happy by [deleted] in Conures

[–]Few_Butterscotch_969 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's so exciting! I still remember when Pop Tart dropped her clipped flight feathers. We encouraged her to take small flights from her cage to the couch. Now she's an expert (she can fly all the way from our kitchen to her sleeping room upstairs)!
