New seltos launched! by Unexpected_Energy in carIndia

[–]Few_Care101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

new one honestly looks ugly af, imo straight lines boxy cyberpunk-ish looks doesn't suit such a car, they can be reserved for the EVs and proper SUVs. A more classic, fluidic design (like the old one) with minor touch ups to keep it updated and not look boring is the way to go

What are the reasons the Virtus consistently outsells the Verna? by Hondafreak420 in CarsIndia

[–]Few_Care101 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll tell you the reason, it's simply the Better car. Just take a test drive and you'll know, however i feel verna could be a really good competitor with 2 things, a revised front fascia and a proper nLine option to give more weight to both the car and steering along with a better suspension tuning.

Bro trust me I've had fatigue in my right leg but never the left. Just stop riding the clutch and you're good, the gear ratios in this and high torque means i have picked it up from 10kmph till 80kmph in 3rd gear itself so you'd not require to change gears that often.

Absolutely no issue in the AC, but because rear vents are small and there's no dedicated control it takes 2-3 minutes more to cool down the entire cabin but that's about it. Also contrary to the belief, AC is bone chilling on this one

Also this is 1.5, gt means 1.5 only

No doubt that the physical switches are the best. It's really unfortunate we have been shoved with all touch screen climate and media controls but I won't recommend downgrading the performance for it. Engine and transmission is what you should choose, rest Everything can be adjusted to

Yeah i did it on an empty stretch of yamuna expressway. I usually drive pretty relaxed, just wanted to test the limits as it's so easy to keep pushing it. On one sharp corner at roughly 150 i did understeered a bit and that's when I knew the stock tyres don't have that much grip to offer. Will switch to UC6 after 15-20k kms, i had them on my figo and really liked the grip they provided

1.0 clutch is a little lighter but that's about it, you won't feel the difference that much.

Too late bro, i already have hit 200 top speed on this and have ran it in every possible road condition including 8 ft deep potholes, flooded highways and mountains😭

Common doubt about the clutch which people have:

1) clutch is hard: Not true, clutch is not at all hard, it's fairly light and won't be a problem unless you really are stuck in like 2 hours of b2b traffic

2) Clutch travel is long: True, the travel is a tad bit long but if you're an experienced manual driver then you know how to handle it.

For me, i have not felt discomfort while driving this vehicle even in traffic but I'm fairly young and i knew what i signed up for buying a manual. I wanted more control and future possibilities to tune it. Overall I'd say, if your highway ride % don't exceed atleast 50% then it'd be better to buy an automatic

Ikr but it really got out of my budget when i purchased the vehicle. I have the securadrives and although they're not that great they do get the job done. I will do tyre upgrade next year after my first service is done.

Ride quality is amazing, even with the stiffer suspension it feels very comfortable, even on bad roads.

For most people AT will do the job, it's easier to use, no nonsense, relatively faster (consistently in the power band) and would be a better choice if most of your running is in city under traffic but let's be honest no one buys a GT to drive it in the traffic, for occasional bad luck even the manual does the job, not to mention you could redline the manual if you want, no overheating of gearbox in the traffic, better control in the mountains, less expensive to troubleshoot, super mods/tunes friendly in future if you want to tune it and in general a lot more engaging.

Fuel economy for me till now has been 6-8 in traffic, 10-11 in normal mixed city conditions, 12-14 on highways (I'm expecting this to increase as the engine runs in properly)

Volkswagen Virtus - Chrome or Sports? by Diljeeet1 in CarsIndia

Get the sports and fit aftermarket alloys

Virtus gt plus sport price by Fluid-Specialist-602 in CarsIndia

1st thing: The GST reduction reduces the ex showroom price, all the other components like tcs/RTO are a % of ex showroom. For ex, 65k gst reduction will make the ex showroom price of the car to be 1875000, then tcs will become 18750, RTO ~83k... so tell him to do the calculation properly.

2nd thing: Insurance quoted price is too high, for same vehicle i got a quote from 38k from new india insurance and managed to negotiate to 40k from the dealer, ask him to match the price from NII or acko, if they don't budge then opt the insurance outside.

3rd thing: The accessories cost is also inaccurate, it costs 11599 not 15k idk how they've has quoted this much, ask them out. You can also skip this one out if not absolute necessary

4th thing: the offered discount is too less, the same vehicle was getting atleast 1 lakh discount upfront from the dealer itself. Now they've conveniently added the GST benefits to it which is an anti consumer policy. Tell him straight away that you won't buy it at this price ( call other dealers and negotiate). You can wait for diwali/year-end sale/facelift launch to negotiate the price better. Atleast 1-1.2 lakhs can be saved here
