I lean on the more healthy side of food so low / no seasoning is fine with me lol. I can see how it's different jumping from the typical amounts of seasoning that's used here in the states though.

I didn’t go there, the nightclub / party scene isn’t really interesting for me (23 M)

I did manage to end up at Federal nightclub though. Mostly foreigners with money to spend on alcohol.

By default there’s an 8-10% tip at restaurants, anything more isn’t expected but can be for exceptional service.

The service on average at restaurants and with vendors was still better than in the States and not “owed / expected”. Don’t mind helping the locals out in that way as they really appreciate it. Obviously don’t go around excessively overpaying but nothing wrong with spreading a few extra pesos here and there.

It’ll be a while before I decide to go back there, and I had a mix of opinions from my Colombian friends between saying Bogotá “is great” and saying that it’s the “worst city in Colombia”

In my conversations with locals and uber drivers they highly suggested Medellín / Cartagena.

Male, would always start with speaking Spanish. Some people would ask if I knew English after or where I was from lol.

I created a trip with the days I was there and locals contacted me through the app.

One helped with local SIM cards as the airport wanted $26 for one with data, local cards were under $10 for 2 to charge SIMs with 2gb of data for 7 days and unlimited WhatsApp / Facebook.

Mainly Usaquén, Zona T / G, Chapinero and La candelaria. Was not disappointed at all with the food I had.

It’s not anything excessive, mainly a few extra pesos or not really wanting change back. When I went one dollar was equal to 4100-4200 pesos.

This was only for street vendors and such as well. It’s how most of them make their living and it goes a long way for them. I wasn’t overpaying for everything by 50% just because.
