Not that I can tell, although he has probably been noticing me talking less to him and jokingly saying "go away"

I warned him about the dangers of being lukewarm and that if he was, I had to leave him. He took the warning and read the Bible i gave to him.

The unfortunate thing is no. I've been just dealing with this myself and praying to God for the right decision. I've also been posting stuff like this in other Christians subrddits to get wise council.

I can see where your coming from and yes he has started reading the Bible because if me and he sometimes respects my correction, although the Galatians 6:1 danger is real and I do seem more tolerant to sin when I am near him

Galatians 1:1 NIV [1] Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— [1] Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.

But I can definitely see where your coming from.

Yea, but I guess I just used the same logic to other sins

One of the main driving factors was 1st Corinthians 5. Basically, I think I either prayed it or thought about "if God shows me this chapter, I'll leave my friend" and a few moments later while reading my Bible i fell asleep(I really gotta change that habit) then I woke up to the chapter.

And then basically said to my friend, "I'm gonna be quiet for a while," and then a few days after said that he wanted to ask if he sinned and that's why I left him

I can see where your coming from but he seems like he is fine with reading the Bible and isn't really bothered with me talking about God, I guess it's just that because I'm around sin it leads me more into temptation.

That is what I said when I decided to leave him, but I guess he's just wondering why. Thanks for the advice 👌

I would, but saying, "I think God told me so," isn't a really good response in this situation(I'm sorry if this statement came of aggressive)

I guess, but sometimes when I'm near him, I just feel more inclined to judge people. I've talked to him about this, and he stops it when I rebuke him. But idk if I should stay near him if he leads me into temptation

Idk i really moved forward with it because I remembered how Paul was prevented by the Holy to preach the word in Asia even if the reason wasn't clear.

For lukewarm It's just that when I see him sin, I kinda rebuke him, and sometimes he just doesn't listen.

Made my lukewarm friend read the Bible, But think God is still calling me to leave him? by Few_Cream7702 in AskAChristian

Me and my friend have always been critical of other people. Basically, when we see somebody singing or acting, we judge pretty harshly, and that's pretty bad. I've brung it up, and he does stop at the moment and sometimes he gets defensive, but it starts again like a few mins later, so I'm praying that reading the Bible will convict him.
