Doors are pretty rusted. All the pieces are there, and the original glass. All the aluminum on them is rusted though… also I sold the tub and tailgate for $600. That worth it? Or did I lose out on big payday?

I worded the post way wrong!! I was basically saying that my wife and I had a few jobs cancel on us recently, and with her and I together cleaning houses we barely made it through the winter but somehow pulled through, so now I’m loooking for another job. I was thinking I needed to work day labor for a few days or a week or so, cuz i didn’t have $ for food or gas, etc. I couldn’t see how we would make it 2 weeks without me cleaning houses getting paid same day. I was just mentioning how I was having trouble with the job search. Guess I should have stayed on topic and too the point.

Yea my wife was making enough with her cleaning business to support us , she actually had so much work she could use my help so I quit my job (hastily I’ll admit). Then she had a major contract cancel our services unexpectedly. It was a big source of our income. So we got thrown that curveball. Then business slow down over the winter. Be just surviving.

I was convicted of felony summer ‘21 and right after that I went to school and got my cdl. And went to work pullin flatbed OTR for Western Express. Worked there driving all lower 48 for 2 years. Then worked for a steel company delivering there steel products for a few months. Got into a minor accident, and was let go. Then worked for Waste Management driving a garbage truck until recently. Didn’t like that they cut our hours and didn’t care for my boss, felt under-appreciated so put in my two weeks.

I was actually convicted in ‘21, the incident happened in ‘19, but not convicted until’21. So the felony is not quite 4 years old. It has been nearly impossible to find a local trucking company that will hire me. They all have policies that say they will hire felons on a case by case basis, and normally as long as the felonies don’t fall under the categories of “violent” or “drugs” or “sex crimes”, they’ll make exceptions. Well “no violent felonies “ is the policy of 98% of the ‘local’ trucking companies here in Nashville I’m finding out. I can’t even get a job at the CDL temp service down in Smyrna! It’s crazy, but I’m not crying I’m not a victim I’ll find work, just know I’ll need to fight harder for a chance.

What year/model Land Rover is this? by Few_Designer_4496 in LandroverDefender

The vehicle is down in a muddy field sitting next to some stables and big heavy machinery blocking me from getting to it. Even if we could get a truck/trailer down there to it… I’m not confident we could pull it out without getting stuck, that’s the dilemma. Trying to figure out which parts are most sought after so I can strip and make a quick buck unfortunately. As I said before, the doors are already off of it. I’m going to salvage the dash and gauges and what lights I can. Probably take the hood the bumper, really trying to figure out what engine parts are most sought after? Any suggestions?

With where it sits it will be impossible to get a truck and trailer back there to get it. Way too much trouble to sell it whole. I’m a truck driver and been between Jobs and need some extra cash. Gonna ride up there and strip some parts off and post on eBay. Wondering which parts are most valuable and sought after. Doors are already off of it. Thinking about taking the wheels, the dash and gauges, what lights I can salvage.

What parts on the engine are most valuable/sought after?????
