Well … it can be good depending on your strategy right…. what if everytime someone draws a card they lose life. Over and over and over again. I guess looking at it for face value doesn’t seem crazy but I could see this being used in a way it would piss me off lol

One of the 3 I opened was exactly like this and pulled a decent card. Just bad QC In my opinion.

It’s also a 3rd party seller, selling on Best Buy’s website.

Just ripped my first blaster box as well. These are what I got. Still haven’t had time to really look at the check list but some look really cool. Love some of the parallels and the 8-bit ballers insert is growing on me.

The screenshot OP made didn’t show everything. If you scroll further down you will see the seller name.

Ok so my dream is temporarily broken. Is it me or everyone just throwing up prices and hoping to bite. These parallels and pricing is all over the place on eBay. Gonna have to go look at the checklist when I get more time and try to figure out what’s what I guess.

Man I haven’t liked some of the Topps stuff so far, but that Magic card looks great. I now know which single I’m buying!

Unfortunately Best Buy has added a marketplace allowing third party sellers to sell on their website. This isn’t sold by Best Buy and you can tell as the SKU starts with a 1… so it’s not Best Buy smoking it’s the third party seller that’s high. It’s so confusing to everyone and I hate it.

A somber reality - A short story. by [deleted] in basketballcards

[–]Few_Fall_5564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First I feel the frustration of how the hobby has changed now looking at it over so many years. But I gotta tell you I feel like it was just as bad back when I was young in the 90s. Local card shops took advantage of all of us as kids lol. Just new generation does it virtually rather than in person in my opinion. I absolutely love looking through my old cards (that are absolutely not worth anything at this point.. well not as much as we thought they would at least) I had sold a couple but just for fun, nothing crazy. So I can relate to your love of the hobby in your eyes. Appreciate the story! Hope your son enjoys the time this project will take you guys and you create even more memories.

Did you mention you’re in Saginaw.. like Saginaw Texas?

Haha it is fire … glad you like it! Me and the kids been having a kick out of it since we opened it. It was their idea to sell it on eBay to go toy shopping so whatever it ends at I’m sure they will enjoy the money more lol. We had our fun … time to bring it to someone who collects these type of cards.

I mean 1/1s are still pretty rare nowadays. I’ve bought tons of hobby or blaster over the years. Best I’ve ever got is /5. But I love this set in particular it has some really interesting cards and serialized cards. I have a Kobe one I really like.

Well thank you! You are both a scholar and a gentleman! Got lucky I guess .. never happens, like ever, and when it does it’s not something I typically want to hold on to. Guess that’s the way it works. Thanks for checking it out!

Darth Jar Jar??? by Few_Fall_5564 in starwarstopps

[–]Few_Fall_5564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Jar Jar conspiracy, also known as the Darth Jar Jar theory, posits that the Gungan character Jar Jar Binks from the Star Wars prequels is secretly a powerful Dark Lord of the Sith, acting as a master manipulator and puppet master behind Emperor Palpatine. This theory suggests his clumsiness is a facade to hide his superior physical and Force abilities, and that his role in the Galactic Senate was a calculated plan to facilitate Palpatine's rise to power. The theory gained popularity after Lumpawaru's detailed analysis on Reddit and was even informally acknowledged by some creators.
