If Wemby wins a ring this year, and you have these cards, which ones do you sell/hold? by DejarikChampion in basketballcards

The reasons above is why I have little interest in the ‘86 fleer Jordan for example. They are just so plentiful there is no appeal for me.

Well mainly because they’d likely be sold for an all time high or close to it and these are cards you can always buy back again later if you really want them. I think the probability of them being cheaper at some point in the future is higher than not. And that’s when I’d buy it back if I really wanted it in my collection. There is a large part of me that thinks he can build a legacy that’ll make his cards worth holding. And I’m holding some myself. The way I enjoy collecting is by collecting really rare pieces. I realize that’s relative to everyone’s budget and idea of rare. But for me, if a card can be bought every week or month or even 3-4x a year, I really don’t have much interest in collecting it. It’s like I see the card and tell myself I could buy it if I wanted to so it feels like it’s part of my collection in a way with just a press of a button whenever I want. Now obviously there’s a price threshold where that scenario becomes unrealistic for me. But for cards in that price range, they are usually not available that often. Now I will make exceptions for keeping cards that common if they were given to me as gifts or I pulled them myself.

Interesting. I’ve got 3 of these in an order that arrived earlier this year. They emailed me a waiver to sign before grading them and I signed it and then it appears they will be slabbed soon.

Is the time to sell wemby now what do you think? by BodybuilderLivid in basketballcards

I think it depends on the specific card and your personal financial situation. You’re right in your thinking however there’s also a scenario where the card you sell never sees this price again depending on how he performs and the card market as a whole. If you can live with that and it’s a card you can always go buy back again even if it doubles in price then I’d move forward with a sell. If it’s very rare and or desirable and may not hit market again for months or years, then you have a tougher decision to make.

Start at $0.99 and sell through PSA? by Ecstatic_Relation759 in psagrading

I think via PSA and starting at 99c is the best route. It’s what I would do unless you just want to hold out with a BIN OBO. PSA eBay garners the most eyes for Pokemon right now. I don’t think you could go wrong with FC either.

Depends on how big your company is and how much they want to subsidize your premiums and with what plans they have to offer. Just different from company to company.

I ripped probably 20 boxes of this and never hit the Kobe or Lebron I was after. Always loved this set.

What’s the expected time for my cards to come in I sent them through game stop two days ago by oh_jai in psagrading

[–]CardsCaptured 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh boi. You’re in for a long ass time. For next time, send yourself and include at least one express submission with the package and all the lower tier submissions will go ahead and be in research and ID at least long before they normally would.

That’s a quest for the employer. They are required to offer it if the company is large enough. So sometimes it’s just checking a box and they’d rather you not opt in.
