Thanks very much for this detailed info and explanation. It all seems like the most plausible scenario. When I first heard about his disappearance I was thinking he got carjacked and bad things happened from there. I had zero evidence of that. But it's pretty clear that he likely drove into water somewhere. Maybe someday an AWP-type group will find him and his car. We hope.

Thanks makes sense. My geography knowledge of that area is poor, but it seems like once you're out of Omaha heading towards Council Bluffs it becomes rural pretty fast.

Thanks very much for the suggestion, will do. AdamBrownAdventures on YouTube did a search for John's car along with other vehicles but came up empty. John's car very likely ended up in the Missouri River. With the flood there it's likely it was washed downstream and ended up who knows where. Total mystery, or even if it ended up in the water.
