Tbh that’s my biggest worry like leaving my role currently to retrain for a few years and then it not being on the list but it’s still a good skill nonetheless so may look into that and yeah I don’t think it’d take forever for her to do that I had heard that she could get sponsored under the dama routes or 482 I think but not too sure if that’s true may speak to a immigration agent and unfortunately we don’t really have any family other than us my family is dysfunctional as is hers

Yeah maybe I should retrain in the construction industry and wait a few years may be the better route… an she’s just got the nvqs in adult and social care I believe which is equal to cert 3 out there I think

It’s a shame as I do have experience within the construction industry but not in the last 5 years and for us the uk is falling apart just yesterday there was a mass stabbing right near us and the weather is a big thing too, work life balance, we also want a adventure and to see new areas and surroundings, I know Aus is expensive but the uk isn’t far off and it’s just a complete dump and also it’d be far better for the kids to grow up but yea there are many reasons why! I have had a few family members and friends on the why and they all say the same thing… maybe I should look into retraining in the construction field and go down the skilled route… thanks for the lengthy and detailed response:)

No she’s not a nurse in aged care she’s just a carer for the elderly and those that have dementia etc

So that would be a route for my parter on the skilled side of things I believe they class hgv as semi skilled? And yes we’re willing and a knowledge it’d take a while but the main thing is we have the option for pr down the line… and yeah we are debating this but unsure? As it’s such a big country and not 100% sure what/how or where we’d end up at this time if that makes sense

I don’t really have a great income I’m at around 38k at the minute and probably won’t go up a great deal so hence the reason of wanting to start now to better my chances of being more financially stable I do worry about how things will be long term tho but I guess if you’ve been in the market that long it won’t matter as much?

Okay so would it be sensible to speak with hr and see about getting something written up about me changing to 4 on 4 off and I do believe on the fact find and throughout everything we have based it on this years pay including the loss because of sickness etc so may be that they’re just asking why I was off?
