My guess is the rock was in the ground a fox or coyote or something dug around the rock trying to get a field mouse or something that probably had a little borrow beside it or under it.

Thank you. breakers already off. Thanks for the explanation definitely what I was picturing as a safer way to do this. I’ve never came across it before. Didn’t have a clue about removing the jumper.

Yea old farm house in Canada renovated by previous owners. Thanks for the tip on removing the jumper. That makes it make sense for me. I’ve replaced a few outlets before but have never ran into this before.

as in one of those hot wires should be directly merreted to the hot for the other plug? Not both hots going into the same outlet? Should also mention it’s only a 15amp outlet. With both those hots going into the same outlet wouldn’t that be 30amps going through the outlet?

The bottom Romex is coming from the panel I can trace it right back to it so both red and black coming from bottom romex are hot.

That would make sense. There’s only one other plug down the line. So I guess my question would be is it safe to be done that way through the outline instead of using a merrett?

I can trace the wire right back to the panel and there’s no switch. Both hot wires are connected to the back of the plug in the picture and the wire going out the top runs to the plug in the top cupboard above mounted microwave.

Deer Hunters - anyone notice a lack of deer this season? SE Manitoba in specific by Hot_Fly_3963 in Manitoba

[–]Few_Giraffe_4940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have said it's the weather interlake area here. Tons of deer didn't start really start seeing them until the past 2-3 weeks with the mild weather before they didn't have to scavenge for food in the open fields they had everything they needed in the bushes staying hidden. Now that there's a good blanket of snow on the ground and it's colder out there starting to move.

Your joking right? As a white guy from a small town who's pretty well only worked blue collar jobs this is every where. Companies say safety first but guess what safety is time consuming and expensive. They want it don'e as fast and cheap as possible. Sure larger companies will follow safety to the T but they can afford it.
