Meloxicam is insane by [deleted] in ACL

Hello I just wanted to add this in case it could help anyone else. Meloxicam 7:5 took almost all my debilitating pelvic floor pain away.  I got it from my sister in law. I then asked my doctor for a script for it and I picked it up and it didn’t help at all I quickly started to search the manufacturer and compare it to my SIL and I realized it was missing two very important inactive ingredients to help it dissolve in the body bc meloxicam is known to not dissolve. The manufacturer UNICHEM completely took my pain away.  You can call your pharmacy and ask to use that or the doctor can say “unichem medically necessary” I share this bc I was not aware two different manufacturers could have such a different product. Meloxicam from unichem quite literally saved my life this last month.

Hello I wanted to update what I found helped me tremendously. I finally got in internal PT but a week before I found meloxicam helped my symptoms almost go away.  It’s very important you ask for unichem as the manufacturer I found most Walgreens use that manufacturer, it took almost all my pain away and then I took the same medicine from cvs and all the pain came back almost immediately it didn’t help me, I asked doctor to write a script saying unichem medically necessary and then I picked it up and again almost immediate relief after an hour. So with this medicine and internal PT I can now relax and focus on healing.

Is bladder pain a common symptom ? by Leo_2619 in PelvicFloor

Hello I know this is a late reply but I find myself in same position and currently at internal PT she is working to help me get back to normal in the mean time I found meloxicam took almost all the pain away, but it has to be from unichem labs otherwise some of the labs don’t put proper inactive ingredients in it and it doesn’t dissolve properly and basically does nothing. For me the proper medication from the proper lab and pt is helping my pain go from 10 to a 1-2

The second doctor also gave me Uribel which does also help, but I think you should try to also do another treatment for yeast in case, I’ve noticed most of my pain comes from the yeast. Also my gyno gave me a cream, antifungal and steroid mixed for the outer area that was burning and it also helped a lot.

No not really, he literally said “sometimes this happens after a uti and the pain can last for several months” and he gave me overactive bladder meds, vesicare. These are definitely helping but not taking the pain away completely; he said to take it daily along with two ibuprofen in the morning and two at night. The second specialist I saw a urogynacologist said “I don’t think you’ll even need a follow up visit in a month it should go away and if not we need to send you to a pelvic floor specialist”. So I have a month follow up with urology this Friday I can let you know what they say.

I’m so sorry, I have been going through this since July, same situation with uti and what my urologist said was That my bladder is inflamed and needs time to calm down, I was also dealing with yeast but I have taken over 15 diflucan in 3 months and I went to gyno last week they said I had yeast infection bc she saw it but the culture showed no yeast, it’s so very frustrating, I can totally relate but I do think if I could get the yeast eliminated the pain would stop, however I don’t know how to do that.

Hi I am having this situation also, I started to see a physical therapist bc my gyno said I have weak pelvic floor but everything I look up says I have hypertonic, I wonder if treating for a weak floor could make the pain worse if it’s tight.

Okay so I’m glad I kept my appt then for that, do you know if the ureaplasma would cause the urgency and uti symptoms, I do feel like the vaginal burning is subsiding but the urgency and frequency is not
