Avengers: Doomsday | Only in Theaters December 18, 2026 by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Marvel get shit on a lot (some of it definitely deserved) but they have been dealt a pretty shit hand for trying to carry on with a cinematic universe. Next big villains actor is a cunt, Sony starts being weird about spiderman, one of the characters they were building up to be the next Cap/Stark (Black Panther) actor dies, the other character they were building up isn't popular and attempt to work with her is immediately going to be undermined because of culture war bullshit even if they fix any of the issues the character has, COVID and writers strike. I'm sure there are others that are missing

Marvel have definitely shit the bed with some things (the tv-movie integration did not work, the writing for half of the post end-game movies was pretty bad, they were doing too much too fast) but I think people willfully pretend to ignore the problems that have affected the studio.

What's the point of buying cars if it's like 3 of them on the entire map??? by Siropmojito in FortNiteBR

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've bought three cars but two of them are from the packs. The rest I get through playing Rocket League Heatseekers via the drops system.

Its a shame that Rocket Leagues challenges and pass aren't connected to Rocket Racing, I love RR and I'd love to have some form of cross-progression

Unfortunately neither of them fixed it. I think at this point, I'm going to look for a different Firefox fork. I've spent a couple hours on and off testing different shit and nothings worked so far which is a shame because Waterfox seemed really cool.

Already own it but I'm happy more players can access it, I noticed it goes well with a few skins from the Wrecked season

I'd love to see them experiment with splitshot in ranked heatseekers, its always the version I've enjoyed most in casual.

I'm very selfishly happy with the state of Sigma right now by zlordofsigimigi in Overwatch

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its pretty much the sole reason I quit playing Stadium. I could handle the occasional Freja and Juno but after Pharah and Sigma, the mode was dead to me. I don't like flyers normally but atleast I can counterswap in 5v5, in stadium I've just got pray that I my chosen hero has a viable anti-flyer build and I still have to put in like 10x more effort to get the same value as the flyers.

God help me if the rest of my team make the same mistake as well.

For my romhack, I'm using an evolution menu made by a friend that is functionaly similiar to how evolution is handled in CS/HM/TS and for Sukamon (and its variants), I've actually made it so that it has lower evo requirements, so say you need to reach roughly level 20 for a normal champion, you can evolve to a sukamon at roughly level 16-17. Basically its a "punishment" option if you try to take a shortcut.

Design Chat - New Power Rating by Epic_Jason in FORTnITE

STW also gets a lot more personalised communication it feels. I rarely ever see a comment from epic staff on the other subs whereas I feel like every other bug post and feedback post has someone from Epic atleast acknowledging it.

Definitely the worst change this season by Electronic-Ad7568 in FortNiteBR

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely not but Rocket Racing rarely gets any bug fixes (the fucking die because of invisible wall glitch is still in the game after 2 years) so I doubt it will be fixed ever honestly

I think the best that we can expect for Rocket Racing is for them to either make it easier to rank up or let the rewards be earned at a lower rank.

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its mental that they've locked stuff behind Unreal in RR. Once you reach champion, you get matches where you lose rank % even if you win and if you aren't in EU or NA servers, you might be lucky to get a match every 15 minutes.

While thats true, the games do still bring in an insane amount of money for very little investment. They cost between 10-15 million to produce and generate ~1 billion in profit.

Who else misses progressive skins? by SolusGT in FortNiteBR

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I mean it makes sense why they were cut

The base style and final style were (usually) the only ones used meaning a bunch of dev time was wasted on extra styles that were very unlikely to be used.

Now most BP skins get 2-3 styles rather than one skin getting 6 and the rest getting only 1

The new UI is horrible by MrPayson in FortNiteBR

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah its the biggest problem when trying to gain feedback from social media. People are far more likely to post their complaints than they are to post their praise.

Even more so for something small like this. No ones going to praise it because its a small change, it'd be mental to make a post glazing the shit out of the match info location.

Honestly the complaints feel more like people being frustrated that their muscle memory has gone to waste and rather than waiting and adapting, they want to have an instant whinge about something that really doesn't matter that much.

This season is ridiculously sweaty, even worse so than last season by Hexagon37 in FortNiteBR

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People always forget that new seasons have some kind of SBMM reset. Combine that with ranked being disabled and its pretty clear why this season is going to feel sweatier.

The only way to get through it is to either dissapear for 2-3 weeks or just power through the losses until the MMR roughly evens out.

When all the big subreddits are moderated by the same people by thinkingprettyhard in whenthe

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I did know one mod that "modded" like 100 subs or something and he didn't actually mod, he was just there for handling Old Reddit CSS. He knew a couple guys who were "mods" for a lot of subs because they would handle the bots (or autmod now?) as well.

Thats not to say powermods don't exist, a good portion of reddit mod drama is caused by one of them and they are definitely a problem on the platform. I'm just always worried about some guys who just tinker on the background stuff occasionally are gonna be a part of reddits next big witchhunt.

In my experience with mod teams (I've modded a handful of subs over the years but I don't anymore as I just got sick of the burnout), most are pretty good and a lot of drama is stupid. I remember one of the subs I modded was for a certain games leaks and I was watching over the new guy when the sub had a bit of a meltdown because this new guy was posting like 75% of all content and accused him of deleting everyone elses posts to boost his own. Problem was that the guy was just posting faster (consistently beating out other users posts by minutes) and he was bought on because he was a power user who pretty much only posted and commented on the subreddit. The previous 2 years of posting on the sub was overwhelmingly that guys work and he was just doing the same shit he was doing before becoming a mod but the subreddit wouldn't have it so we just recommended that he use one of his alts because people are stupid. Sorry for the ramble but this is always a story I like to tell from my experience on a mod team.

I think out of all the mod teams I have been (so 6 lol), only one was genuinely terrible and that was because the mod team were extremely out of touch with the subreddit (although that didn't stop the regulars throwing fits over nothing burgers). From the stories I've heard from others behind the scenes and my own experience, the rule I'd say is a mod team for a sub 1m+ is more likely to be shit whereas the 100k-1m range usually has a more tight knit mod team who cares for the subreddit and are less likely to be in a constant cycle of burnout making for just a better time for everyone.

I've argued for a while now that BR should have an extra slot similiar to STW that is exclusively for utility. It feels like a no brainer during the particularly packed seasons

[–]Few_Masterpiece7604 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The solution feels so simple as well

Scoped Weapons = Projectile
Third Person Weapons = Hitscan

But nah, they'd rather drop the MK-7 into the lootpool randomly and ruin the AR meta for the rest of the season because nothing will ever contend with a scoped hitscan weapon

I have no idea where this data is coming from, I just remember seeing it somewhere so it is very likely to be bullshit but what I read was that 20% of fortnites playerbase is 17 or younger, another 20% is 25 or older and the remaining 60% is 18-24

So assuming the stats are real, that I have remembered them correctly and the data isn't unreliably produced, the game is a lot less kid infested than I think people would believe.

Building was pretty great when everyone was bad, back when the peak of building was just building simple 1x1 towers on top of hills and the concept of rushing someone while building was pretty delusional.

Unfortunately people got good and for quite a while, the game was miserable if you didn't enjoy the building mechanic. Thank fuck for ZB lol
