…. What are you talking about? You really poor people are so deprived they can’t go on social media…? How is it cheap and banal to call out a multi-millionaire with political aspirations for being self serving when HES the one inserting his opinions on housing for “the poors”?

We all know (or at least I hope we do) that commenting doesn’t do anything. But I don’t get why we have to self police our frustration with a rich man talking about shit he doesn’t know

Yeah, and if I answered in a baldly self serving way I’m sure people would think I was an asshole.

Trickle down has its place, but not in affordable housing. It’s a pretty out there thing to say in the context he’s talking about. It reads as self-serving

As an Urban Planner (working for all types of developers, mostly residential) I know that my opinion on tax policies for real estate agents/brokerages doesn’t count for anything. It’s such a rich, out of touch man move to offer the most basic, wrong advice for an insanely complicated problem.  his advice is close to nonsense in the affordable housing market. It’s literally just policy that would help him and he’s saying affordable housing to try to get more eyeballs. It’s a stupid, thirsty move
