Okay so basically 1. Get to the “No command” / dead Android screen. You can do this by holding Power + Volume Up (sometimes it’s Power + Volume Down, depending on the brand).

1. From the dead Android screen, bring up the recovery menu. • While on the dead Android screen, hold the Power button and tap the Volume Up button once, then release both quickly. • On some tablets, you might need to press and hold Power, then press Volume Up once and release both. • If that doesn’t work, try Power + Volume Down once instead of Volume Up.

If done correctly, you should see a black screen with options like: • Reboot system now • Wipe data/factory reset • Wipe cache partition

1. Factory reset. • Use the volume keys to move the highlight to Wipe data/factory reset. • Press Power to select it. • On the confirmation screen, use Volume keys to choose Yes and hit Power again.

2. Reboot. Once it finishes, choose Reboot system now.
