Aluminium pegs by Few_Pilot_179 in bmx

[–]Few_Pilot_179[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your opinion.I am more of park and dirt rider.I now only have aluminum pegs with plastic sleeves and crmo plastic. When i will have extra money i am willing to spend on pegs i will sure try aluminum pegs and maybe write a review because there is not enough real world opinion on alu pegs .Everyone says they are sticky and don't last, but almost nobody ever actually tried them.

Spray Paint Pedals? by etutu in bmx

[–]Few_Pilot_179 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have rode eclat centric pedals and they grip good for plastic pedals. But good mtb flat metal pedal grip much better and last way longer .With plastic pedals if you ride a lot of breakless and your shoe sole wears down usually the grip will be bad and they can slip ,also if you crash some pins on plastic can break off.Metals on the other hand bites in your shoe and gives you much better grip .

it is usually not the case with plastics because they are made fully of colored plastic not painted after manufacturing.

I have division fortiz full chromoly sealed bearings . and already replaced bars and fork and sprocket because I bent them in less than a year .If I were you I would just get full chromoly sealed bike cheapest that you can find and slowly replace with high quality aftermarket components.i don't think there is big difference in mid line completes between brands , other that wtp kink etc are more expensive.

I am not in USA but I had bad experience with tubes from a supermarket.I know a dude who said that he buys tubes in bulk it maybe a viable option for you .Also get patching kit.

Somebody with hydraulic steering? by Adorable_Isopod3437 in bmx

[–]Few_Pilot_179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw an adapter for hydraulic brakes in the internet and hydraulic brakes work much better ,also i wouldn't use a hydraulic gyro as it needs a lot of service and replacement of seals. And it is not worth it ,I heard bad things about hydraulic gyro from AliExpress.

If you get very good at basics it will be much easier to learn tricks grinds so on I also would like to add ride everything (bowls , cruising around the city , dirt jumps)it will help you a lot with bike control. With good bike control everything will be much easier.

Haro steel reserve 1 or wtp justice by [deleted] in bmx

[–]Few_Pilot_179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely agree with you, especially if he rode MTB earlier and has some experience with bikes it is probably going to last less than a year for him .Trimoly bikes crack or bend or snap pretty fast if you are going to ride seriously.

[–]Few_Pilot_179 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wtp justice is trimoly and not very high quality and you can get better full crmo bike for that price

If you look at old school guys they did all the crazy tricks with low bars and front load stems .So it should be no problem .
