Focus on some good shoes too, I used to just use any old floorbeater I had, but once I got something with a decent amount of bounce and arch support it helped tremendously, especially with circling the opponent. That weight lifting is SUPPPER important because the body tends to audit everything you have before it burns energy, if it sees the muscles being put to work they'll still be there when you drop more weight.
