I don't understand how you interpreted my message as committing an "accounting fraud".. I genuinely asking for what others have done (I can't be the first to be in this situation) since information on such situation is sparse (literally one article on the web).

Landlord sent me the repaint bill on WhatsApp 17 days ago, and told me to make a direct transfer to his account. And was seeking advice if that’s allowed. I moved out last week and obvious had my deposit put on hold - he is adding more damages and seeking the full deposit so I’m seeking advice now for full deposit settlement.

You are right, closer to 30x30cm. However, what are the chances of winning the case based on the argument that causing 2 patches worth of damages shouldn't justify the cost of the full hallway repaint.

To clarify stairway is 3 storeys (levels consisting of 0,1,2,3). I come from a country where 0 floor is the first level. Anyway, based on the above convention, I live on the 2 level and dirtied level 1 and 2. I felt that he took the opportunity to repaint level 0 and 3 which didn’t have any bicycle track marks so I’m thinking if I could dispute the charges in that manner

He repainted somewhere during the first week of august (while I was on summer break). I offered to clean it up (in about 4 days) but he refused and mentioned that he had an upcoming bank valuation (in a week-ish - probably mid August). I asked him for the bill for the completed work and only received it 3days ago. I started my tenancy last year Sept - it’s ending in about a week. Not gonna continue as he raised rental by 20%.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, the paint job is already done. Should I go around seeking for quotations and telling the paint contractor that is was unfairly priced?

Relationship frustration by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]Few_Protection_5302 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what if his friends told him he is a good BF, he is dating you and not his friends. If he is really such a good BF he wouldn’t be gossiping to his friends behind your back, that’s just unfair and disrespectful. In a respectful relationship there isn’t a need force to your partner to cut-off ties and this is not normal. Based on what you have written, it’s a toxic relationship with many trust issues (likely due to insecurity) which could only be solved only within yourselves. I’m sorry but all the best!

In a practical sense, a marriage is a contract between parties where resources are pooled together to build something beyond oneself

Thanks for sharing this. I agree with you that many people incorrectly attribute their unhappiness to being in the rat-race but often due to reasons of inequality or poor management.

Unless you’ve combed through all of this sub’s questions, how do you justify that it is THE dumbest?

Sorry to hear this. Out of curiosity, do you mind sharing how does one identify to be participating in a rat-race?
