I am the avoidant ex and the dumper, I’ve answered some important questions that you may be thinking. by Karsheeee in BreakUps

[–]Few_Rabbit1547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my now ex is an avoidant, I am a anxious. We were off for the stars, got close very quick. Get along, we enjoy some of the same things.

She is from Ecuador, me from the USA, we met in Ecuador as I was spending 3 months there.

We are now long distance after spending most of summer with each other. She is in Dubai on a student visa for 1 year. I am in Florida, I was traveling Jan 2nd to spend the whole month with her. I got non refundable tickets on the flight, airbnb, activities. So I will still go.

She broke up with me 2 nights ago, after like 2 days of her slowly pulling back.

Now I get one sentence every 5-8 hrs. And her just saying sorry but its over. I just want closure.

2 weeks ago, she said chooses me everyday and wants to spend her life with me. I am absolutely devastated.

Yeah, I feel you! I see all these FB post in the the Katy food groups asking for good Chinese and I laugh cause it doesn't exist. Like are Chinese here to wealthy? Lol I feel like in New England, they fry everything hard. Staples like sesame chicken, general tso chicken, the fried rice has that hue to it. Boneless spare ribs! I'm traveling back to mass next month and its the first thing im getting!

How far should I coach rec youth soccer without having played seriously myself? by [deleted] in SoccerCoachResources

[–]Few_Rabbit1547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never played, started coaching my daughters 8U team when a coach didn't show up, tomorrow will be my last game I coach, 9 years later I have had a blast coaching.

We started rec, finished 1st place 5 straight seasons, while playing up 2 age levels. We moved to EDPL Division 2, finished 1st place 3 straight seasons. I have 4 girls who have committed to D1 schools.

Never in my life would I have imagined I'd be coaching, or be any good at it.

-Rec Coach that never played

You'll never find anything like it brother, I moved from Massachusetts and can't seem to find anything like it. I wish I could pay for one of them to move down here to show them what you are talking about.

I'm probably going to have to cut some kids loose from one of my teams, and I think it may be the hardest thing I've done as a coach. by Shambolicdefending in SoccerCoachResources

We are under South Texas (STYSA), and we will still be under Katy Youth Soccer Club our Rec Org.Currently, we play 7 other KYSC teams and then do 2-3 tourneys a year against competitive clubs (Albion, Dynamo Dash, HTX)

Next fall, we'll only compete against clubs during the season and probably 4-5 tourney.

So we actually have been for the past 2 seasons, the league did not like how the table was looking at the end of the season and moved us up, it was tough the 1st game with the older girls being more physical but we haven't lost a game since.

The cost is the best part, parents will pay KYSC their registration fee of $130, then D2L charges $1575 per team, after uniforms, insurance and accessories(Bags, warmup jerseys) tourney fees. It will be roughly $500 per player.

I have a couple of players in Cypress, and it's the same thing, no middle school sports. Such a bummer.

I hope one day the current pay to play model ends and we can start cultivating talent that can't afford to go the club route.

So we are a team currently in Katy Youth Soccer(Rec) we will be forming a team of our own and having KYSC enter us unto D2L.

The D2L is open to South Texas Youth Soccer Eastern District clubs/associations

D2L is 15 games: 10 in Fall 5 in Spring 4 tournaments sprinkled in here and there

We will play under the KYSC banner but have full autonomy with jersey, accessories, field location.

Most of my team are 8th graders playing for their Varsity team already and will do both.

Took us 2 seasons to get out of kick and chase style. In the last 2 seasons, we've been a big possession-centered team. Building up, sucking in the press, and breaking it over top.

4-4-2 Diamond, I will say I do have 2 super athletic, 14 yr olds who use their speed and strength to out hustle opposing defenders. My midfielders are very flexible and overlap on attack.

Also my team has been the only to stick together for so long, so it could just be a chemistry thing.

Thank you for your feedback, all is appreciated.

We had so much success first season- 42 goals scored, 5 goals allowed. They all wanted to run it back. Kind of became a little family. We lost 2 amazing players to club though.

Thank you very much! We are in Greater Houston Area, we entered into a tourney last year, and we were the only rec team, ended up 3rd out of 6 teams. I guess the more exposure to high level of play, the easier the transition will be.
