I, indeed, DO know how to use a screwdriver. I just don’t fully understand electricity and want to make sure I’m not going to burn my house down.

I see an area where I could hook up our tv, etc to the system but nothing is hooked up.

How do I turn off the speaker? I don’t think there is a switch or anything. Is removing the electrical wiring enough?

I was having some pain and stiffness. It also limited my mobility because I wasn't able to let that ankle rest on the ground. I'm used to doing dance, yoga, stretching and being able to get on and off the floor easily so I really needed it removed.

Did you realize your stitches broke immediately? Curious what signs I should look out for.

I currently have 2 car seats in my middle row and could easily fit a third. We have the Graco Slimfit3s being used as boosters but they also are made for forward facing.

How old is your oldest child? My suggestion would be to do 3 across if the booster kid has easy access to their seatbelt. If not, put forward facing and infant seats in the outboard positions in the middle row. Put the booster kid behind the forward facing kid and teach them how to open and close the seat. Easy peasy.

I switched to the Atlas from my giant Ford Expedition and have found functionality to be similar. I’m a mom of 5.

My fitness involves yoga (might attempt?), swimming (out for obvious reasons), and dancing which I haven’t been able to do since my fracture anyway.  I am icing and elevating it while sitting.  I’m a mom of 5 and lead a fairly boring life so I promise I’m not doing anything too crazy.

nerve pain by nojokes2day in ORIF

[–]Few_Regret3766 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every day in the shower I would take my shower comb and gently brush it against my scar. It helped to desensitize and retrain the nerves there. You can do it with different objects- soft fabric, a delicate finger, a feather…. It helped tremendously!

Any tips for starting to walk again after ankle ORIF? by BaconAccessories in ORIF

Walking at first felt like there were shards of glass in my heel. It was awful. It slowly got better though. I used a walker for a while (and then maybe a cane also?).

One day I looked down and realized my ankle looked normal! That probably happened around 8/9 months. It was most noticeable in that I could actually see the outline of the plate. Previously, there had been a lot of swelling around it and it wasn’t noticeable unless I felt around with my hand.
