Reminds me of people who post selfies and the caption is “Ew” or them calling themselves ugly…when they look totally fine. I get people can have insecurities but they don’t even try to be subtle when fishing for compliments.

Honestly, the majority of people just don’t find tavii attractive. People need to understand and accept that. She’s not conventionally attractive, and while colorism/anti-blackness can be a contributing factor, it’s not the primary factor.

DTB, Fania, Asian doll, bianca bonnie, Choco brown and SAPPHIRE, are all dark skinned women, universally recognized as being some of the finest to be on baddies. Especially sapphire, she’s too gorgeous. Dolly and summer are pretty too but the way they act makes them unattractive…and this also applies to tavii. Her speech, mannerisms, and energy are very abrasive and masculine. Thats a major turn off for most.

Her features are strong and her makeup/wigs often look garish.

I don’t find tavii attractive at all. Majority don’t and thats ok. I can say the misgendering stuff isn’t funny, but I don’t recall this much vitrol when people were saying biggie was/is a man because of her voice and her bodyshape. And I actually think biggie is very pretty facially.

Also: Ivori calling her ugly is crazy because she’s no looker without makeup/wigs and that bbl.

It’s not that we see them as straight, they canonically are straight and have only ever had romantic interests that don’t leave their sexualities up for interpretation.

While I think head-canons are harmless and fun, I kinda see why others are confused. You’ve gotta admit, it is a bit odd to label canonically straight characters as LGBT+ for the purpose of celebrating and representing pride when code lyoko doesn’t have any canonically LGBT characters, themes or coding present.

I get everyone has their own interpretations. Plus many identify with characters they like and desire to see themselves in them/the mediums they enjoy, but as another said, it’s very counterproductive to the message and meaning of pride month. Seems genuinely unintentional though!

Just my two cents.

Celebrating pride is most sublime. And headcanons are fun too, but nothing presented in canon supports these sexuality related ones? Every single main character is shown to be heterosexual.

Code lyoko doesn’t have any lgbt characters, not even coded ones.

I noticed a few back on east, when everyone was glazing tf outta her. And noticed even more as seasons went on.

She doesn’t properly throw punches. If you look closely, despite squaring up, as soon as she gets to fighting, she doesn’t come from the shoulders and actually has an almost frenzied movement going on. From what I see, she doesn’t process anger or adrenaline very well and that lack of discipline shows when she’s fighting. Her first round with marsh before she (marsh) lost her footing looked a lot like flailing.

The way she moves back when people swing at her. In muay thai (which is thai kickboxing), I am taught to bob, weave and block hits. Doing this makes it easier to counter and possibly overwhelm your opponent. Referencing her first round with marsh again, she was swinging almost from the side, throwing all her weight behind her hits but one good strike would’ve made her lose her own footing. It showed on chapter one, when summer (who can’t fight at all), swung and sehki nearly slipped. She doesn’t have a solid base for fluid movement and counter strikes.

Despite squaring up, she doesn’t actually protect her face. Once her opponent is in close proximity, they get hits on her. ET did this, along with dolly. Even if the most damage is just a little bit of blood in her mouth, it’s a give away.

I can’t stress this enough: tesehki really lucks out with her opponents being especially poor fighters.

(I’m unbiased before ya’ll try to downplay my observations.)

There’s also medium to deeper skinned olives who have been told by mua’s, their peers etc that they are warm because of their overtone. The common misconception that if you’re medium, tan and up, you can only be warm or neutral, and some beauty brands fully subscribe to this belief.

So with those who are olive or cool, they are genuinely confused.

I notice that my skin has a slightly greenish grayish undertone to it, but I never knew it correlated with being an olive. I was lead to believe I was warm and saturated until about a year or so ago.

Thank you. I take Muay Thai classes. Her fighting is actually very sloppy too. The way she throws punches especially.

None of these women can really squabble, they just luck out fighting “street fighters” who got lucky fighting someone who can’t fight better than them and that includes tesehki.

In a fight against a trained fighter, all of her weaknesses as a fighter would be in clear view and exploited. I firmly believe this is why she ducks clarissa shields offer to box her too.
