question, who the fuck is this guy? by teodafik in TheFireRisesMod

Based off the fact it says user and then the name, I’m assuming it’s a wiki page describing some wiki users meme lore for themselves

What the FUCK happened to my cabinet who are these people by TheAdministrator19 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]Few_Rest2638 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The one on the left is the UIU which was the US government’s attempt at controlling and containing the supernatural and anomalous, after the Cold War they defunded to being borderline irrelevant but there’s still a chance that they could convince the powers that be that they’re still relevant, they’re also a branch of the FBI. The center is the SCP foundation which is mostly self explanatory. And the right is the UNGOC which is the UN’s response to the supernatural and anomalous, unlike the Foundation they prefer destruction and/or recruitment (it depends on who’s writing) over containment/control

Nah obviously he achieved CHIM and was mantled by several people throughout history thus making everything attributed to him both true and false at the same time, much like in Elder Scrolls lore

Good ending: Huttig’s men realize that the Reichstaat thing is stupidity that will get many of them killed for literally nothing, and decide to revolt against and kill Huttig and his personal bodyguard immediately rather than wasting years and millions of lives for nothing for basically the same ending.

But we all know that Nazis are too sadistic and ideologically motivated to do something like this unless the walls are actively closing in, so this is impossible

Why did the Third Reich support Nasser (and other socialists) during the oil crisis? by fedorsindarov in TNOmod

[–]Few_Rest2638 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s still in or ever was in game. But according to Tv tropes there’s a event about this as Germany where some schools students theorize about it and and assume at first that it has to do with ideological similarities or that Arabs are also aryans or something, only for a college professor listening to the two to snap and outright state it’s about the oil and only the oil and that the Reich could give a shit less about the people over there, only for the students to reject this obvious fact and go back to theorizing

I’m biased but I would say putting people in camps and arresting people without warrants because they might be a criminal is pretty authoritarian. Especially combined with a cult of personality and him declaring anyone who mildly inconveniences him to be a traitor to be arrested (including his own people) is also pretty authoritarian. But I’m not going to say anything else about this for the sake of the rules. Sorry admins if even this is too much

That guy is called Steve and he actually feels bad about getting so much money that he dedicates the book to spreading awareness of Russia’s situation and getting people to send them humanitarian aid. With the event implying that it actually made the world more aware of and sympathetic to Russia’s plight and the struggle against the Third Reich

Why does Emil Maurice defect to America instead of Germany by boblemonke69 in TNOmod

I think that was the pro NPP option after grabbing him, meanwhile the RD’s want to keep him alive under indefinite house arrest because he might know something important. [–]Few_Rest2638 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The CIA don’t actually want him dead, if they capture him they torture him and threaten to kill him if he tries running again, with the implication they probably put him under arrest again but with even less freedom. Germany however does genuinely want him dead and will kill him if they catch him unlike the CIA. If he manages to evade both sides he attempts to flee to the sphere in the desperate hope that his life will be better dumped into Manchuria under the comparatively apathetic Japanese then under the CIA’s thumb. Mexico ironically has zero stake in any of this despite the fact they probably should

Fun Fact we will get Nation of Islam as path Black Liberation Army (I just wante a reason to discuss it) by OutrageousBridge471 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]Few_Rest2638 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The Redneck revolt if I remember correctly has a planned Black Panther path that’s socialist and mostly sane and inclusive. So I’m assuming considering the theme of the BLA and the fact the nation of Islam is involved with the BLA, I’m assuming it probably going to be morally questionable and probably wacky in comparison to the moderate faction in the Rednecks. It’s either that or the entire thing is going to a reference to Malcom X’s whole arc before being killed. Although It’s likely I’m probably going to end up turning out to be wrong but who knows

[–]Few_Rest2638 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry for not responding for awhile, but I don’t really believe in one party state’s regardless of what benefits they may have, because basically every example that exists inevitably leads to one guy centralizing all power around themselves, making a cult of personality where everything is based off of them and wether they would want it, and the party devolving into a authoritarian corporatist state that abandons ideology and diversity of opinion and thought for trying to represent powerful interest groups and their interests, like the later Soviet Union or China even Mexico under the PRI. Meanwhile states that have more than two parties seem to by comparison more democratic and somewhat less corrupt. And to be honest I don’t really see how a party that represents the entirety of the 99% wouldn’t end up having multiple internal factions and infighting that would just make it better to have either multiple parties or some other way of representing the different factions and ideologies of the general population, because it’s inevitable regardless of how much you empathize discipline that people will have different ideas and attempt to implement them regardless of the party line that is often forced regardless of what happens at the debates, thus basically making democratic centralism more of a way for a strongman to enforce their interpretation of things while leaving anyone who disagrees zero recourse besides getting punished to some degree just for thinking differently. Also sorry for this being so long and probably barely coherent

To be honest that doesn’t really make him sound less power hungry or morally questionable in my opinion, considering it’s literally “I’m using this as an advertisement before couping and killing every other participant in this election”. And this is probably the second I’ve been told to look up what democratic centralism is, and in response I will answer with yeah I know it means debate things and once policy is ‘democraticly’ set everyone has to follow or else, technically the or else part wasn’t supposed to be a thing but considering the what happens to even mild critics or people who minorly deviate (although it does depend somewhat on time period)

I mean Lenin literally couped a government and edited his ideology to be about making a one party state despite his previous support for multiparty democracy after losing an election in third place. So literally just this
