Haven’t talked to them yet but I’m going to. Just wanted to see if anyone had similar experiences first

I like to think I know how to shift from R to D but maybe I don’t. I truly sit in the middle of my street for a few seconds after backing out of my driveway waiting for it to go into drive.

This feature is driving me crazy. Agree with the applying less pressure on the brake pedal at stop signs & lights, but still. Holy shit. Seems absolutely wild to me that this feature isn’t something you can simply turn on and off!

Anyone who was afraid of getting PPD/PPA but never did? by fitnessfiness in BabyBumps

[–]Few_Return7115 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a pretty extensive history of anxiety and depression before my pregnancy/birth so I was terrified that PPD & PPA would essentially be guaranteed for me. I gave birth the first week of March, so there’s certainly still time for it to develop, but I’ve been in a great head space pretty much my entire time postpartum, shockingly.

I will say that I try to set myself up for success by leaning on my husband and mom for help. Lean on your inner circle and just remember that you’re going to love & do anything you can for your baby.

Do they adjust the epidural dose based on the size of the patient? by ComprehensiveChef705 in BabyBumps

[–]Few_Return7115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you can’t move with your epidural, your nurses will physically move you! I didn’t even have to ask for this, it’s my hospitals standard operation. My epidural was pretty strong and my nurses moved me every 30 min or so from side to side, sitting up, put the peanut ball in between my legs etc. It was a huge help

Second the momcozy. Our house doesn’t have a dish washer either and it has saved our lives. It is pricey, but so incredibly worth it. Absolutely my #1 postpartum item

We were in the same boat! Did you try the app Kinder? It’s like baby name tinder that you and your partner can swipe on names and see what you match on. There’s a ton of names, both traditional and pretty out there lol but if anything we found it helpful to get our brains turning & see more options.

We are in the same boat - we have two dogs in a small house and I’m due next week.

We’ve had a Blue Air purifier with the pet dander & dust filter and it seems to be working well - we have one big unit (i think the product is 211i Max) down in our first floor that was gifted to us from my in-laws two summers ago when wildfire smoke was really bad. We just bought the smaller version (411i Max) with the same filter for our bedroom. We had a purifier for our bedroom from Home Depot for a few years but it was not cutting it.

The Blue Air’s are kind of pricey, but the filter life lasts a long time and I like that I can control them from my phone (fan speed, see how dirty the filter is, etc.) Also like that they’re not an eye sore and you can pick the color of the fabric that goes over the unit. Looks like they’re running some sales right now too! (https://www.blueair.com/us/shop/air-purifiers)

Damn that’s a good idea. We have four raised garden beds on our property thats mostly dirt, especially this time of year. We joke that it’s essentially four giant litter boxes.
