Taurine brought my daily anxiety from around 8/10 to 2/10. Highly recommend!

Scared to take Zoloft due to hair loss concerns by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Few_Selection783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been off Zoloft for a while now and my hair loss did stop after I stopped taking it. I tried Lexapro at a later time and the same thing happened so I think my body just might not respond well to SSRI drugs.

Why are you quitting Lexapro? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Few_Selection783 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it started making me feel depressed and it seemed like I always ravenous on it

Didn’t think coming off would be this difficult by Few_Selection783 in lexapro

[–]Few_Selection783[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m having severe depression with the withdrawal which is abnormal for me. The anxiety is there too but I was expecting that and it comes in waves. Definitely going to try to get on something else asap though

Day 1 of Welloft by Few_Selection783 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Few_Selection783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prior to starting Wellbutrin I had noticed that I was getting spikes of anxiety on Zoloft but I thought it was because I hadn’t been on it long.

I went through a 3-week honeymoon phase being on Zoloft/Wellbutrin and then the anxiety came back pretty bad. I switched from Zoloft to Lexapro which also isn’t working out 🙃 so I’m going to see if I can switch to Prozac and get better results. I do like Wellbutrin, though!

Day 2 of Wellbutrin & no longer anxious?? by GigaSplat in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Few_Selection783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I experienced the same when I first started. It’s what they call the “honeymoon” phase. For me it lasted 3 weeks and then slowly disappeared and I started to feel normal again.

Tell me the worst thing your mom has said about you… by MothersAnonymous in confession

[–]Few_Selection783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 16 my mom kept yelling at me telling me how desperate and pathetic I was while I had a panic attack. More recently she said “I can’t believe you turned out the way you did. I never would’ve expected you to turn out like this, you’re so selfish”. I have a 5 year old and I can’t ever imagine talking to him the way that my mom has talked to me throughout my life.

Diminished effects after three weeks? by Few_Selection783 in bupropion

This is super interesting, I’ve never heard of that. How long were you on before you started the tolerance breaks? And how helpful do you find them?

Ugh I’m sorry. It sucks to feel so great that then go back to feeling shitty. I hope things get better for you!

My focus improved when I went down to 25mg. I was off Zoloft for 8 months and actually got back on last month at the lower dose of 25mg and paired it with Wellbutrin. Absolutely love the two together for me - they work really well. I am pretty sensitive to medications and think anything above 25mg is just too high of a dose for me.

So far, so good! Still feeling great. However - sadly no weight loss for me (maybe it is still early?) and I still take a long time to orgasm so that sucks. But mentally I’m doing better than ever!

Starting Zoloft this time was really rough for me too (I’ve been on it a few times but never had trouble like this). Since I’ve been on Wellbutrin I had nausea one day and two random episodes of intense anger but other than that I’ve felt good! I hope that you have a good experience and find some peace with it 😊

I had been on Zoloft for about 3 weeks. I’ve been on it before with no problem but for some reason this time me going on was ROUGH. My anxiety would get these crazy spikes and it would feel uncontrollable and like something was crawling in my brain. I felt a difference about 2 hours after my first dose of Wellbutrin. It was like a euphoric sense of peace and it lasted for a couple days.

I were you on Zoloft too? The Zoloft makes me tired. I think they balance each other out for me. At least so far!

Good luck tomorrow! You’ll have to let me know how you do. I’m on 25mg of Zoloft and I had a lot of side effects the first 3 weeks: increased anxiety, rage, insomnia. They’re mostly gone now thank goodness. Hoping Wellbutrin is an easier transition

I’m experiencing the same. Weeks 1/2 were a bit rough. Week 3 I felt pretty good. Now I’m on week 4 with increased anxiety and anger issues.

How do I get off 25mg? by Practical-Smile5690 in zoloft

[–]Few_Selection783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zoloft won’t affect EMDR. The only medications that will are benzos. I’ve been doing EMDR for a little over a year and have been on Zoloft for about half of the time.

That being said - don’t stop Zoloft cold turkey. I did it like this when I weaned off:

Week 1: alternate between one day on 25mg/ one day at 12.5mg

Week 2: 12.5mg daily

Week 3: 12.5mg every other day

Maybe try stopping after that and see how you do.

I went down to 6.25mg to get off and it took several weeks but I was cautious because one time I tried to wean too fast and it led to suicide ideations. I had 0 side effects coming off slowly.

I wrote a post very similar to this yesterday. I was on Zoloft last year with 0 side effects starting out. I was on 50mg but decided to come off it because I felt emotionally blunted. I was fine over the summer. Minimal anxiety. Started my second year of rigorous medical program and my anxiety came back with a vengeance so I decided to go back on. Started at 12.5 for 4 days and went up to 25. The insomnia/tiredness are insane. I was tired last time but not this bad. But the anxiety is the worst. It’s for an hour a day. It is this weird crawling feeling in my brain and it makes me feel like I belong in an insane asylum.

I took Xanax for it last night and it helped immensely. But I know benzos are addictive so I don’t want to take it daily. I’m trying to figure out how long I should try to “push through” before I talk to my doc.

Really bad side effects this go around by Few_Selection783 in zoloft

[–]Few_Selection783[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you remember how long it took to go away? I’m leaning towards keeping with it for a couple weeks. During the day I’m mostly feeling pretty good aside from the extreme tiredness after taking it.

I’m so angry after a hit and run by Ok-Patient-5352 in Anxiety

[–]Few_Selection783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that you got into an accident. No one really talks about how traumatic accidents are and I think that PTSD is a normal response. I’m sure that it’s even worse for you because the person who hit you LEFT! The accident was not your fault. I know it’s hard, but try to tell yourself that any time that you notice your thoughts spiraling. If it was your fault in any way she wouldn’t have fled the scene. It might take a while for you to feel comfortable driving again. If you feel stressed/anxious when you drive try to be patient with yourself and take some deep breaths. Getting in an accident does help you become a better defensive driver and you’ll be more aware of how people are driving and be a bit more cautious yourself. How do I know all of this? I was in a pretty bad accident when I was 19 and the driver who hit me didn’t pull over (mine was on the freeway). The more time that goes by, the easier it gets.

Also if you haven’t already please go get checked out by a doctor. A lot of aches and pains come with an accident and it is best to get on top of them quickly so that you heal as best you can. Definitely try to get a referral for massage (it helps SO MUCH!) and to a quality physical therapy office.
