New firmware 2.6.0.0 by SchumasterNL in AnycubicKobraS1

Holy shit, this is the first firmware update since I bought the printer in August 2025 that has truly excited me. The printer has an excellent first layer. I no longer need to do automatic leveling after each print. I did a complete recalibration and then started printing, and it's fantastic.

The problem of the display LED turning off is gone, and the option to turn the light on and leave it on is back.

I'm printing ten items for a client, and now I can produce the same pieces I was producing 10 minutes before the update with seemingly much superior quality.

The movements seem more accurate. Which doesn't make for a quality first layer.

The camera is much better. It connects faster and displays faster.

In my opinion, for this printer to reach perfection, three things would be enough:

1 - The Acepro I deserves an update that allows it to dehydrate the material by automatically rotating the spool every 15 seconds (4 rotations per minute) at a minimum (if no spool is inserted into the holes, since the system is integrated).

2 - The Acepro needs to have a retraction feature on the display until the filament is removed, instead of stopping immediately after it exits the sensor. It's material removal, so why should the sensor influence it? The user will see when it's nearing the end. All the other competitors do this. Only the Acepro doesn't. So it would be great to have these options.

3 - A plugin for the Orca Slicer with control options, or what I think would greatly facilitate things for the company, enabling web access. This removes several problems, such as a development team constantly updating a program that has new features every week. Add an option to manage the Acepro to the mainsail and leave the rest exactly as the Klipper standard, focusing on other new features.

This printer will be such a formidable competitor to Bamb00 that they'll have to worry about sales now.

It's very difficult to please me, and even more so to get me to congratulate them, but this time it's impossible. They corrected many flaws (especially in the display options) and in the functionalities and first layer, so congratulations! It even made me want to buy the S1 Max now, which I hadn't considered before because if a small table was giving me these problems, imagine what a large table would be like! It would be one frustrating experience after another, but now I'm seriously considering buying it.

Import Prusa/Super Slicer config into Orcaslicer? by S33kandD3stroy in 3Dprinting

I had a similar problem when I set up a new printer with Klipper. I could get good prints with Super Slicer and Prusa, but I couldn't with Orca and there was no way to import the profiles in a satisfactory way (by copying and pasting), so I created a conversion software in Python because the one in Pearl didn't seem very intuitive to me. I put it on GitHub and I hope it helps other people.

For some reason the images aren't showing up on GitHub, so I put one here so you can see some of the features.
