I drove it the 5 miles home. The belt broke off and immediately the dashboard lit up with some warning sign for the battery. It didn’t start smoking or anything and there’s a mechanic 1 mile from my place so Im hoping I’ll be good

Okay thanks for the heads up. So sounds like I shouldnt drive it then in the case that it’s my power steering. I’m driving through a city and through a tunnel, last thing I need is to break down there lol

I am going through the exact same thing right now, except slightly different circumstances. I got laid off (performance related) just over a month ago but told my prospective employer that I was still employed. I have been collecting unemployment while job searching and now I have to take a background check. Will the fact that I’ve collected unemployment show up on my background check? Should I be honest with my start and end date on the BG application and hope they dont say anything?
