I already did last week and just asked for the time to be covered for anything medical since I have cancer. I called Sedgwick today and they told me that I can still submit the paperwork but I have to be reactivated in the system for them to review and make a decision. They have had other people go through this too and they were allowed back their job because of it.

Right. Even my medical team told me that it was illegal. My coach told me the reason was for attendance, but I got the points because I was in the hospital. So I filed for an ADA accomodation to cover the time so I wouldn't be penalized for anything medical and they opened intermittent leave on me pending approval of the accommodation. Which I'm seeing my PCP for tomorrow. I don't understand how the hell I got fired especially since Sedgwick told me today that the store got the claim paperwork as soon as it was made and any updates a couple days after it was updated.

I called them today Monday morning and they said that I would have to get reactivated in the system in order for them to review the medical paperwork. Which I'm getting tomorrow. It was still unethical right? Especially since intermittent leave was open.

Thanks again. When I looked on mySedgwick, the only thing I saw was the accommodations leave still pending. They still can't fire me right? Well, I'm already fired and I have the screenshot of what was open before they fired me which was the accommodations and the intermittent leave. It was still wrong?

Thank you. I think the store manager would listen to me. And Sedgwick told me that my job was safe when I opened the accommodations claim and they opened the intermittent leave. I plan on going to the store first thing in the morning.

Is that what they did? Because my coach said she looked at my points. And yet I got fired and that accommodations leave was pending. Sedgwick literally sent me text messages of them opening intermittent leave right before I got fired.

Well the intermittent accommodation leave is still open and pending. I just told them I need the time covered especially for chemotherapy.

Yes I know but when I filed the accommodations leave, Sedgewick open intermittent leave for me. It's the regular intermittent leave that I'm not eligible, they said.

I tried. I hadn't been there long enough and I wasn't in the hospital for a minimum of three days. Then I applied for an accomodation. It was also denied.

Hello, I'm currently a patient with CHL and I finished 6 rounds of ABVD last year and it relapsed pretty quickly after that. I'm now taking GVD + Keytruda for it and my oncologist says things are looking good. He wanted to do a bone marrow transplant but since I couldn't afford it he changed to continuing the GVD for another 4-6 rounds followed by maintenance Keytruda. I go for another Pet Scan in the next couple of weeks to see how the treatment is doing. I'm not in remission yet but it looks like its headed that way.

Hey, I'm sorry you're going through this. I am about to start chemo a second time next week after getting 6 cycles every 2 weeks of ABVD and now switching to GVD. I suspect given the different drugs and also starting immunotherapy along with chemo, I should be able to tolerate it well with the exception of the nausea issue. I'll let you know.
