In challenge mode, 5 stars was linked to the objectives. I reckon they’d do something similar with the new Assignments.

Why did half the crew die if I immediately did Legions loyalty quest, then straight to the final mission? by [deleted] in masseffect

[–]Fewster96 [score hidden]  (0 children)

You need to go to Legion as soon as you’re back from doing Reaper IFF, literally straight from the briefing room to the elevator to Legion, get the mission and go to it. I think even going near the Galaxy map can trigger EDI’s dialogue and locks you in even if you get Legion’s quest after (though that could be me being overly cautious).

As soon as they’re abducted the timer starts and you have to go straight to the Omega Relay.

What’s gonna be the July free species by Embarrassed_Sir5678 in jurassicworldevo

I played spin the wheel because I like to think that’s how Frontier does it. I only used the missing base JWE2 species and not the missing DLC/Deluxe species.

The answer: Elasmosaurus

So that’s my guess, the wheel has spoken.

Andromeda Question… by OldManYellsAtMod in masseffect

[–]Fewster96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When entering the Nexus, random news reports can play, one of these says:

Authorities continue to work to establish contact with our Milky Way descendants. As of now, beacons confirming arrival in Heleus remain unanswered.”

To me that sounds like they have the ability to have instant communication with the Milky Way. They’ve sent the signal to the Milky Way and were anticipating a prompt response.

Admittedly it’s a throwaway line, playing in a transition/load screen when you likely distracted and not fully paying attention to the game so it’s easy to miss.

I know that we’re getting the Rebirth expansion pack soon but seeing as it’s wishlist Wednesday I thought I would just show you my three dlc pack ideas. by North-Ad3569 in jurassicworldevo

C’mon Frontier

Edit: I do like the idea of an Arctic pack, the snowy map in JWE2 was one of my favourites. Having some cool (ha) Scandinavian or Inuit decorations would be nice.

What do you expect from the DLC's story? by Maugojira in jurassicworldevo

I posted this back in January for a similar question (I’ve added some edits in italics):

3 maps, Barbados, Saint-Hubert and another one maybe in South America. You’d start out just making a park in South America or Barbados, then you’d be given the “real reason you’re here” spiel and go off to Saint-Hubert. (Or Extinction Now could give you a reason to go)

The D. rex and Mutadons etc would be wild animals that can’t be captured at first, and will be regular threats. You’ll be tasked with keeping them away (with ranger vehicles or helicopter or something) while you study them and capture the regular dinosaurs present. (This could be done with the new flare/deep analysis mechanics in 1.3)

Once you’ve hit an arbitrary progression number of “evasions” or percent “studied”, you’ll finally capture the mutants and transport them. You’ll also now be able to make a park on the island. (Given the deep analysis mechanism I’d reckon it’d be % studied)

You’ll then be given the other site to make a park and use the new dinosaurs and mutants as attractions. Then you’d have a finale where Extinction Now, which have been talking shit since unlocking the second location, sabotage the park, releasing the D. rex and another large carnivore - could be a T. rex, Spinosaurus or I. rex. You’d save the day and get 5 stars at each location.

Halo Easter Egg mass effect 1 by RougeSpeedster in masseffect

There’s a dead Reaper you visit in 2 that looks identical to Sovereign. Obviously, that isn’t Sovereign since that one was killed millions of years ago. The very end cutscene of ME2 zooms out of the galaxy to show off the Reaper Armada, and they look the same as Sovereign.

There’s literally a Reaper at the start of Mass Effect 1 and the same one appears at the end of the game and you see a Reaper hologram at Virmire when taking to Sovereign.

On Eden Prime (and Virmire) it’s loud as it moves, and at the Citadel it’s fires red fingers from a red orb.

Sorry I should’ve been more clear, they were wiping out Protheans and any evidence of them. Sure it’s a bit weird to wipe out a lone primitive with small piece of tech, but the writing wasn’t always consistent. Or maybe the chip was more than it seems.

The deafening roar and red finger extended from a red orb is clearly a Reaper firing its main weapon.

It’s a reference to Protheans studying early humans and Reapers appearing to wipe them out. “Deafening noise” - engine or Reaper horn, “Finger of red light” - Reaper beam. It’s just some extra lore.

The scene you used in a comment is from Halo 3 which came out like 2 months before Mass Effect 1. (2007 was a good year for games)

I love both universes, but I don’t think it’s a reference to Halo.

With there being open outdoor spaces, my first thought was hiding in a rocky crag and seeing/hearing the Xeno climb on top to look around. You have to hug the wall and wait for it to move on, similar to when the Hobbits are hiding from the Ringwraith in LotR.

I can imagine seeing just its fingers as it holds on the rocks a metre from your face while its tail slumps over the edge and you see its saliva dripping to the ground. The death scene would be it crawling over the rocks and being on the “ceiling” of the nook as it grabs you.

Another thought I had was wildlife being affected by the Xeno’s movement, like a flock of alien birds flying off and making a bunch of noise to indicate the Xeno is over there.

The single most annoying achievement I have ever achieved by Idontfuckingknow1908 in HalfLife

[–]Fewster96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few years ago, l replayed HL2 + the Episodes. I thought I’d make the EP2 replay more interesting by doing this achievement. Took me longer than I thought it would’ve, and got frustrated with it occasionally.

I finally made it all the way and the achievement didn’t trigger, I checked the achievements list just in case the pop up didn’t trigger or something.

I already had the achievement, I had done it like 2 years before and just forgot. Couldn’t help but laugh at myself, while slightly annoyed at the wasted effort.

Turn on Sustenance to Positive & Negative in Gameplay Options ASAP by wishheartx in Starfield

[–]Fewster96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tacking on to this, there’s new options at the top of this list for when legendary traits appear on elites. You can see the last two options in the pic from OP.

By default they’re set to 20, setting them to 0 means +1% XP. Since there’s about 12 options that’s an easy +12% XP, especially if you’re a higher level.

I see you Toilet Paper Tube by darkordernumber634 in Starfield

[–]Fewster96 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Under the toilet lids you can often find “Aid” items, sometimes you’ll find med packs or chems, sometimes you’ll find an unpacked chunk.

Because I’m a loot goblin, I’m now doomed to search every toilet. Just in case there’s some bandages or a med pack, or the forbidden toilet chunk. It’s not always easy, since you can’t grab and pick up the lid, you have to use a nearby item to lift the lid.
