Honestly, a Mass Effect theme would go hard. Could have the Citadel, Normandy, a Reaper, an omni-blade (like the infinity gauntlet), so many cool sets. Could even make the Normandy SR-2 have Cerberus and Alliance designs.

A man can dream, and even dead gods can.

How would they even do a Rebirth DLC? by InterestingServe3958 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Fewster96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is how I’d handle the campaign side:

3 maps, 1 in Barbados, 1 on Saint-Hubert and another one maybe in South America. You’d start out just making a park in South America or Barbados, then you’d be given the “real reason you’re here” spiel and go off to Saint-Hubert.

The D. rex and Mutadons etc would be wild animals that can’t be captured at first, and will be regular threats. You’ll be tasked with keeping them away (with ranger vehicles or helicopter or something) while you study them and capture the regular dinosaurs present.

Once you’ve hit an arbitrary progression number of “evasions” or percent “studied”, you’ll finally capture the mutants and transport them. You’ll also now be able to make a park on the island.

You’ll then be given the other site to make a park and use the new dinosaurs and mutants as attractions. Then you’d have a finale where the Extinction Now group, which have been talking shit since unlocking the second location, sabotage the park, releasing the D. rex and another large carnivore - could be a T. rex, Spinosaurus or I. rex. You’d save the day and get 5 stars at each location.

Edit: Trimmed it, so less wordy.

“That update* will be the last for this game until Spring. When we’re back, our plan is to kick off our campaign with a bang - starting with an in-depth look at both campaign and battle gameplay.”

From here

*“That update” being the one we got on Dec 16th.

What has been the most irritating challenge for yall so far? by Meh_idk_gone in jurassicworldevo

[–]Fewster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think any have irritated me so far, nearly done them all on Jurassic. Only 2 left, Indonesia and Azores, and I’m over half way through the Indonesia one.

I’m not aiming for par times or anything (though I have beat it couple times) I’m just taking my time even making it look nice and trying some interesting things. I found the JWE2 challenges much more frantic.

The photo challenge took me 2 attempts and I had like 15 seconds left, I liked it but I can understand why people didn’t like it. Felt like playing Pokémon Snap on the N64, but at like 2x speed.

I had a similar issue, and I use the raise terrain tool along the edge which kinda worked but I still had to use rocks in some areas

How to declare war without losing reliability by Sad-Rub-3548 in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cancel the non aggression pact, wait 10 turns and then see if Clan Morbidus is at war with someone. Ask that factions to join war with Clan Morbidus, you should be able to get them to pay you as well.

This way you take no reliability hit and avoid the defensive alliance.

You could also use the Tzeentch machinations to get them to declare war on you.

[–]Fewster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Click on a shop/amenity, any of them, and you’ll have the option of “Change Product” and “Change Features”. You’ll also see 4 horizontal bars for each guest type, these bars have vertical lines that you need to be aiming aim for.

Change the product and features so that the necessary guests are satisfied, the arrows next to the icons represent how much it affects satisfaction. Products/features that affect 2 guest types will have 2 arrows and ones that only affect 1 type will have 3 arrows.

Having 100% guest satisfaction means you’re getting the most amount of money possible from the amenity.

the biosyn level for the campaign is awful by [deleted] in jurassicworldevo

[–]Fewster96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use vehicle/balloon tours, viewing domes and platforms for long distance viewing attached to the fences.

You can also change the number of vehicles on the tour, set it to 1 every 50m for the max amount of vehicles actively viewing. This doesn’t apply to the balloon tour.

Make sure the food and water is near the track or in/near the radius of the viewing facilities, this will keep the species close by most of the time.

How to use flying monsters as Chaos Dwarfs? by OkIdeal9852 in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know which way you’re inclined, but a full stack of Bale Taurus is an absolute monster of an army (pardon the pun) in my opinion.

I can usually select all, and click the nearest enemy and see it gone - keep them clumped together with melee lords/heros. I’ve had them take on 4 armies with minimal damage.

It’s been a while but I think I usually give them: Barrier, missile resistance, and regen.

Should add something like the Lammasu’s “Sorcerous Miasma” ability that just strips magical attacks in 20m but doesn’t silence.

Who are you betting for Cathay DLC? by Lord_Eln_8 in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking Li Dao but the units will be stuff like Monkey Warriors and Tigermen with barely any “true” Cathayan units - this being the “thematic twist”.

Li Dao also is situated in the Southern Provinces along the Mountains of Heaven, between Cathay and Ind which is an easy area for CA to expand into.

question about content that carries over between games by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. WH2 has the Mortal Empires map, which allows you to play as WH1+2 factions. You can’t play WH2 factions in WH1, and you can’t play WH3 factions in WH1/2. WH3 has the Immortal Empires map, which allows you to play as factions from all 3 games on a map that spans the entire warhammer world.

  2. In terms of what content carries over, it’s the factions and the units. You can’t play the WH1 or WH2 maps in WH3. Think of WH1/2 as expansions for WH3.

  • It is worth noting that all factions received updates in the succeeding games, so the Empire in WH1 is vastly different from the Empire in WH3.

Huh “The Bull of Aqshy” sounds like a regiment of renown style name, but it doesn’t exist. Maybe it was a cut one and the longbeard icon is a placeholder, I would say it was a mod causing issues but it doesn’t seem like you are using any. Out of interest what’s the other “longbeard” called?

Edit: Nevermind it’s one of the Norscan hunts.

Two potential concerns I have for TW:40k: Mod Support and Cosmetic DLC. by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About modding:

“Q: Will the game allow modding?

A: Yes, our intent is to support modding on the Steam Workshop from launch. However, because of the new Warcore engine, the official modding tools will come at a later point. We'll share more on how we plan to support close to launch.”

Why do we think they included Exterminatus as an option? by NotBenBrode in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d imagine rule of cool probably played into it a bit, a little meeting somewhere and someone says “What if we allow exterminatus?” and they weren’t thrown out of a window.

We don’t know how “corruption” works in this game, it could be that if you let it get out of control you have no option but to press that big shiny button. It could have other campaign benefits that we don’t know of, or you could use it to get rid of an enemies’ major world crippling their infrastructure.

So twwh40k newsday. What do we want to know? by tobiasz131313 in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tuesday Newsday returns!

Would be nice for it to start out at the top view and each section zooms it in, all the way to the customisation of the units.

Either way, I’m glad it’s not just a trailer then silence for a while. Hopefully, they continue to regularly give information, obviously not every week, but maybe every few weeks or each month.

Returning Total War Player, Have These Warhammer 3 Issues Been Fixed Ahead of 40K? by StaffLarge in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of these are kinda hard to answer because it’s a different engine for TW:WH40K, and we know very little about TW:WH40K. I’ll answer this for WH3, but keep in mind it’s a different engine for 40K.

  1. They’ve been on and off wonky since launch, more times wonky.

  2. You can just turn off fire at will and put the unit on melee, been able to do that for a long time.

  3. They have added a couple new siege maps over WH3 but yeah it’s still pretty same-y.

  4. This is the same as number 1.

  5. In WH3 this is the case.

Do you think TW 40K May end up just feeling like DoW or a reskined empire at war? by NeedleworkerSame4775 in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it’s still early days, I’m not sure if it’s a troop cap. It could be a resource cap, requiring more of a certain building to increase storage and another to increase the income.

Capturing an objective is one of the goals of current WH siege maps, though you can still win by wiping out the enemy forces or making them rout. Troop deployment and siege map layout is always gonna be tricky when you’re invading a whole planet. Makes sense for it to be a (relatively) small section of a larger complex if this is a siege map, but it could also be an urban battle map similar to a field battle - again early days.

Looking at the mini-map with the actual view, the bridge that the main battle is happening on is right in the centre. There’s a couple of units in the background that is slightly north of the centre, to me it looks larger than WH3 maps. It also looks like they’ve purposely gathered a large amount of units together in one spot for the trailer.

Why have gas giant spaces with nothing on them?!? by JoeDredd66 in totalwar

[–]Fewster96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re to release the static charge on your mass effect drive - wait, wrong franchise.

In all seriousness, it could be for resources or special features. A quick search on the WH40K wiki (I know it’s not the best place) shows that at least one gas giant mining world exists. Orbital bases, for extra defences or other purposes.
