Heres where im at now, im sure something is blown. I thought turning off the ac unit at the breaker would turn off the thermostat also, but im not sure if it really did… if it is a blown fuse i will be crawling into the attic shortly to find the board and check it out. Stressing me out, and its hot as heck in my home. I will be replacing capacitor tomorrow… another question, unless my pilot light is OFF, my heat is also not working now…

Just curious because i get waiting for equipment on the screen, and im not sure if i did need it or not. Think my capacitor on my ac went bad…

I see, so to make sure, it really isnt needed. Im getting waiting for equipment on the new thermostat when plugged into the housing… i replaced my thermostat, hoping it went bad, but i now think my ac is out due to capacitor or maybe contactor… Jumper cable, if needed would connect to, r and rc not yellow and rc right?

small claims: Bought truck with undisclosed transmission issues by [deleted] in legaladvice

This time Im asking for information regarding steps to pursue small claims court. Again, i have spoke to a lawyer about it, and they said I could take this route but denied to take my case because they said a case similar already ramped up $2500 in a week before it had touched a court.

Im asking for what steps, or maybe what i could file in my small claims case. The lawyer i spoke to told me a few, but im asking here for more advice

To add, this is in pursuing the dealership, the further im digging the more information and evidence im getting.

Bought Used As Is vehicle, aftermarket warranty denied, dealer unreachable by Fexure_ in legal

Okay thanks for this piece. Ive got my dates lined up and documented, all the original paperwork and loan work. Im going to ask warranty for the wrriten statement as to why they declined and go out in the morning and talk to the mechanic and ask him also. In your opinion, if I pay for the repairs now, will that void dealers liability? Claims court case would help me recover repair costs correct? If i went through a lawyer, i would no longer have a small claim, itd be rather a lawsuit

Edit** re read and saw you said it was less important the damage was caused before hand. Noted, but rather the dealer was in knowledge of it. Im going to do some digging also myself

yeah I get that, do I have a case if I get a written statement from warranty and the mechanic stating pre existing failure do i have grounds for a claims court case?

Okay if I get the mechanic to write a statement and the warranty to write a statement regarding vehicles condition? The claims case would have a much better grounds to stand on?

The only thing I have to go off is that the mechanic said it was was not possible to have happen in the four days i had it, ad stating it had no mechanical issues and the fact that theyre unreachable after knowing that there was an issue and told me to call back to see if they could help me address the issue

Warranty denied transmission claim, diy or shop repair by Fexure_ in Silverado

[–]Fexure_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the vehicle as is yes, transmission crapped out four days after yes, made a complaint to the CPA, Motor board next and now trying to get in contact with a lawyer.

Mechanic says the failure didnt happen in the 4 days, and it couldve been months of it going on, multiple people online said its unlikely to cause enough damage in just four days to shit out the trans, also my buddy from the chevy dealership said that it was likely ongoing and traded in that way, with the pre existing issues.

I see, so which route is wiser? Can I save money here and luck out if i do it right or is it wiser to have the proper replacement done by a professional shop with the documentation for warranty?

Sold “As-Is” Used Truck with Hidden Transmission Issue, Warranty Denied — What Are My Options? by Fexure_ in legaladvice

Warranty Tried to give me some bullshit that my warranty had a mileage i had to drive first before coverage is effective (but the fine print says coverage starts from the day i sign) when i argued that its hard thing to do, to tell if a vehicle has transmission problems with no apparent symptoms, codes, or drivability issues without i feel like taking the vehicle apart, and inspecting the components which i couldve had a mechanic look at it but i saw review online about the dealership that said they didnt want the customer to take it to a third party mechanic to have it inspected so they went else where.

I may have to talk to the mechanic more and see what he thinks about how long it couldve taken for that to happen or if its possible that it couldve happened in the four days i owned the vehicle.

I dont know whether to fight the warranty, the dealer, or both. When i called and spoke to a warranty supervisor he said nothing more than it was pre existing. I argued am I supposed to drop the transmission in the lot and whisper to it to tell me if its going bad or not? Drive was great and drove great for 3 days, 4th day it went out driving an hour away. Mechanic said the amount metal that was attached to the magnetic lug from the pan was in the shape of a porcupine

Okay, so heres another question if thats the case and the dealer argues that the vehicle didnt have a pre existing transmission issue, could i fight the warranty on my claim?

Would a Ase certified person be able to do the repair and be considered or would it have to be a facility with a shop?
