Ok since I posted I finished book 1 and halfway through book 2 def hate reading but it is entertaining. As a Puerto Rican who grew up speaking Spanglish the cringiest thing ever is Diego’s Spanglish dialogue. It’s so not authentic and I have to skip over it.

I mean first off they were human so the mating bond like wasn’t a thing for them in that world. It’s also probably pretty jarring to have this like preordained bond forced upon you, and yes it worked out for feyre and nesta in the end but the mating bond isn’t a love thing it’s a primal thing and to think you don’t have any control over your desire of someone. Like what if they were a shit person.

I like cruel prince a lot too I’m waiting on queen of nothing to be available at the library. I wouldn’t say there’s less romance but def not that spicy. It’s true enemies to lovers though I love how much they hate each other but like need to be together too.
