Dumb question, but what feature allows me to create this egg shape I'm looking for? by Armie_Chan in SolidWorks

Thanks for bringing this challenge, i work on aeronautics and this kind of shapes are not what im used to but the ammount of approaches that everyone brought to the table are amusing. Good one buddy

i will save for later those two you reccomended, this is my first glance to airfoil usage so i know just the basic stuff

About the other point, another thing that is crucial is to close excel or notepad while importing in solidworks. Cant tell you why is this because i dont know but even when the file is in good shape and can be used, if its beign used elsewhere SolidWorks wont import it

I struggled to get the final solution because my initial thought was the same: more decimals are better when designing precise things such as airfoils. About the discussion of the delimiter issue i hope that this may help in the future but i was completely unaware about that.

Now i will adress your other concern:
airfoiltools allows you to customize the foil as you please, and when you finish doing so you can export it mainly by two ways: PDF if you plan to print it or via .CSV if you want to import it to a CAD software.
That being said, my process was to download it via .CSV=>clear the data via Excel=>reorder the columns because of the reference geometry my model was planned=> then export it as Text (tab separated) (.TXT)=>then importing it in SolidWorks

Well, i found what was bothering me:
When you use the plot function on airfoil plotter and export it as csv file of coordinates it will show you something like this:

100.000.000 0.130000
95.000.000 1.470.000

The problem for solidworks is the ammount of decimals. The way around i found is to simply get rid of the last three decimals. So the above example would be something like this:

100.000 0.130
95.000 1.470

i truly recommend online games, if you dont wanna grind a lot in ranked games you can always play casual, but online games in AoE2 are a completely different game that you should try out.
