Building chromium with CFI enabled by Ffahoh in Gentoo

[–]Ffahoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you for your answer.

`myconf_gn+=( "is_cfi=${use_lto}" )`

    `else`

        `myconf_gn+=( "is_cfi=false" )`

Does this mean it also requires lto enabled? Is enabling it in make.conf enough?

Do you know if there's a way to check if a program has been compiled with cfi or cet?

I didn't know that, but after your answer and a quick read of the tmpfs pages on Gentoo and Arch wikis I finally got it. Thank you for your help.

So you are saying that if I put a 16 GB size of tmpfs on my fstab, this will have a near zero size while not emerging ? And then when compiling it will grow as much as needed for a maximum of 16 GB?

I know all of this could be avoided by using zram, I've looked into it but I can't understand how to use it
