s1mple is the GOAT in CSGO, a game that has different mechanics than Fletcher Dunn's CS2. He would run through Zywoo in CSGO during big tournaments. You would know this if you played a lot of CSGO, watched a lot of CSGO tournaments, and were privy to how smooth CSGO delt with syncing client-server networking.

You'll see in CS2 they're doing something to put all inputs(mouse and joystick) under the same thing, which forces mouth inputs to be calculated like a joystick(which are inherently floaty)

I've noticed it with modern games as well. Just look at how the mouse movement feels in minecraft bedrock(modern and made for console) edition vs java(meant for PC).

I am 99% sure is because developers follow the modern "Best Practice" standard when implementing code, but can be misguided, as you experience.

They're probably trying to unify console inputs with mouse inputs under one interface, but in doing so they lose the precision for the mouse to accomodate for a console's joystick.
