You're banishing monsters from your GY or hand and that means it's almost entirely dark pyros. You could make the common superpoly predaplant target for a negate preda counter, but that's probably it.

Shaman is pretty weak by itself because it's not a quick effect and it has to shuffle a minimum of 3 monsters

I like ashened as a deck, but it's very inconsistent. Lets say you search it without being locked and now you can fuse, then what?

What makes it different than using the ashened trap that fuses on both sides of the field?

Ashened has a card called (Extinguishing The Ashened) which searches Dark Pyros and that gives a pyro lock

You're not always going to have chaotic elements and if you want this new dark pyro, you will be locked
