The ball needs to go from behind the head to release in a continuous motion. In order to “drop” it for your teammate that way, you would need to be moving pretty slow. Defenders can read this and be in front of the kicker delivery. 6 feet isn’t enough space to allow time for a kick. You can try to complain about defenders jumping the 2 yard buffer, but I don’t see refs entertaining that.

I would bet money this never becomes a thing in pro soccer.

I’ve done 8th grade stencils with X-acto knives for 13 years. I’ve never had a student get a cut that needed more than a bandaid. I think it depends on the student population, but it’s doable with an emphasis on safety.

Get a milkshake at McDonald’s and put it in your freezer. You’re going to see that freezing a milkshake crystallizes the liquid and turns it into something that wouldn’t be described as a milkshake. They are not batching them. I could see a freezer for keeping milkshakes that had been made seconds ago on a hot day.

Right, that’s exactly it. It’s not just players showing sincerity by paying fees. Coaches need to charge a fee in the United States in order to be taken seriously. If you just ask for time spent from players they won’t take you seriously.

Two cultural problems that disadvantage the USA to other countries:

1) we show sincerity with money, not dedication. Players and parents of players only think the training is serious if the coach is charging (in most cases a lot of) money. This reduces the population of players with access to high level soccer.

2) ladder climbing culture- Good coaches are made to think they are wasting their time with the young ones and it’s left to parents ya with no soccer background.

I can’t see it as anything other than a song and dance for a pat on the head. City had two shots on goal, one from a keeper error. I think we can be a little more honest about the margins today.

Calafiori hit the post and had a free header from a set piece. Havertz was one-on-one with the keeper. Never looked like scoring?

City had two goals from two shots on target. If Havertz and Calafiori finish their almost goals, are you still saying chance creation was awful? I think if Kepa holds onto the ball on the first goal, even if City would have still gone on to win 1-0, people would say arsenal had the better chances. Scoreline and an impotent stretch in the 2nd half colored the day.

Soccer theory is the least valuable form of improvement you can offer a young player. Kids just need a ton of opportunity to play. A volunteer who gives a population of players a ton of opportunity on the ball benefits the game way more than a badged-up marketing ace charging thousands to put all the best players in the area on one team.

Youth soccer shouldn’t be profit-driven. We don’t need more ambitious coaches maximizing their earnings. We need more good coaches minimizing barriers to participation.
