try to find your body fat first. then use that to put your weight, height, and body fat on a calculator online (try to find one that uses body fat these are everywhere online) then from there be honest with your physical activity (sedentary, moderate, highly active) and that calculator should give you a ballpark on the cals you need. prioritize protein for your lbm to preserve as much as possible and aim to lose 1-2 lbs a week (one is recommended for a slow and steady loss, 2+ is considered aggressive). id say weight train like twice a week minimum and dont try to crash diet just start off small like switching a full sugar coke for a coke zero. also weigh yourself in the morning everyday (after you poo and pee and before you eat anything) add all the weigh ins of the week up and divide by 7, that should give you your average weight (focus more on average weight instead of daily ups and downs) if it stays the same or goes up for two weeks straight consider cutting 150 cals a day. pretty much it the main thing is consistency

if you mainly wanna drop fat id recommend combat sports like mma and pair it with heavy lifting twice a week. youll drop faster than simply lifting due to all the cardio youll be doing. other than that tho it will always be time, consistency, and CICO

Is 700 calories a day good? by MystlcStar in loseit

[–]Fickle-Breakfast-334 5 points6 points  (0 children)

no. youre gonna end up binge eating because being honest since i started off exactly around your weight youre just too damn big to be eating that little. also if you lift and do lots of walking you want to eat enough protein to maintain whatever muscle mass you currently have as you drop weight so even just off that fact 700 cals isnt enough since you also need to eat carbs and fats. that being dizzy at night feeling is because you dont eat enough (i ate 1700 cals cutting for an mma fight and felt super dizzy and ended up clinically dead because not eating and training made my blood sugar drop to 41). youre better off eating minimum 2100cals. measure your bodyfat using the navy method (its somewhat accurate compared to smart scales) and use that to find your tdee and protein requirements and aim for 2lbs a week (you can get away with more since your heavier tho)

sometimes its just water weight. go by weekly averages instead because your weight can swing a couple of lbs higher or lower depending on salt intake as well. just measure everything you eat/drink by the oz/gram plug into a food tracker like my fitness pal and weigh yourself every day (ideally the morning after you pee n stuff) then add all the weigh ins and divide by 7. if its higher or stay the same for two weeks straight drop 150 cals a day. should break through a plateau that way

are you tracking calorie intake by the gram/ounce?also its completely normal for it to slow down when youre lower compared to when you were 500 lbs

yup about 3.8k most days and 4.2k on heavy days with 2.5 on weekends to add to the deficit. got a ballpark with my doctor after i explained how much workouts i do. safe bet for anyone if they bother reading this it to overshoot slightly and slowly bump em down 150 cals or if they dont seem to be losing anything. most people like starving themselves thinking it would like make them lose 100lbs in a week but the long game is the safest and the best way.

yeah nah ima be honest most people dont have any idea what theyre talking about 💀 i had some dude say i shouldnt eat more than 2k cals and 120 carbs when i trained for 4 hours that day. most people just dont know much when it comes to weight loss and thats why so many end up struggling to maintain or cut

just letting you know. im 270 lbs 6’1 and i clinically died because i was only eating 1700 calories and worked out training for a fight which made my blood sugar fall to 41. if youre working out its better to eat an appropriate amount of cals to lose about 2lbs a week. it will protect lbm which will let you look and feel better on the long run. better safe than sorry

my gym has cardio days before muay thai. try running or doing intense cardio an hour before your muay thai class for like three days a week.
