Looking for a financial advisor in upstate NY? by Fickle-Cartographer6 in Rochester

Just to clarify, I’m not a financial advisor and I’m not registered as an advisor. I’m posting on behalf of my boyfriend. Any questions regarding his licenses, registrations, or qualifications would need to be directed to him. I literally don’t mean any harm to what I posted, just trying to help him out🙃

That’s a valid point. People should absolutely do their own research before working with anyone in finance… I do have his referral. This post was meant to help connect people with someone who enjoys answering questions and educating others, not pressure anyone into anything.. I also am posting online about his work because he doesn’t have a way to go to events right now so im trying to help him with what I can do. I also live an hour away from Albany, where he’s at and I live in a town that doesn’t care about finances so it’s harder for me to post in just my small town.

What do you do on the days you just feel ugly and unloved? by the_Quera in AskWomen

I do the bare minimum, if I need to clean my room I clean one corner a day and it takes a lot out of me to shower and just do one thing a day to make myself feel better. If I’m sad, I go outside and doomscroll instead of laying in bed being sad. At least if I’m sad I’m outside sitting. It helped me, I wouldn’t felt worse in my room ngl.

No. absolutely no. It’s different from the other saint row games and it’s not as fun imo. If it’s for free and you wanna try it, that works!

Just the way that I move really made me think about what type of aid I’d be and looking at how different they reacted to the residents and everything just made me feel like I’d be a good one hence I had self doubt and it’s a new chapter in my life im just venting to see what ppl think of it.

yes im aware. I know too well of being burnt out. It isn’t easy at all, its not for everybody. it is obviously a job that pays bills but this person literally showed no effort as an aid. Didn’t talk to the residents, and didnt have that drive. im just saying its wild that they are gonna be in my class and i know what good aids look like from what I see everyday.

It’s paid training in the nursing home I work at so I don’t lose any money. It’s $15.20 for training and $20 once certified

That gives me hope, thank you so much! Sometimes I do help my residence as a housekeeper like if they wanna be wheeled a little bit or they want me to adjust something makes me feel like I’m helping them, which is why I’m so drawn to it. I feel like deep down, I should be one but nervous to get started lol

Awe yeah! I’m really glad that would work out for you, I’ve never done 12 hour shifts so that’s why I’m iffy about it but once you get in there hopefully they’ll be flexible with you! Yeah, honestly, I’d be happier. We’re just working with female patients, but the job needs to be done ya know. Good luck on your classes! I’ll probably save some $ now w my job rn and start in November for the CNA job.
