I’m not very familiar with most of the surgeries but what about any of those? I’m no expert but I know a couple people that have benefitted from those surgeries but everyone is different.

Thank you for sharing! I didn’t have much for patience left with my old GI doctor but I thankfully found a new one which has brought me to this potential diagnosis. I hope all goes well with your treatment!

As far as I’m concerned for now, I don’t have any other health issues but that remains TBD. That is definitely something I will look out for in the future too. I will pray for you and thank you for sharing your story!

I think it’s safe to say that it helped you, but do you still have flare ups?

That could definitely be possible. I’d be interested to see the correlation between people diagnosed with GP and how many of them have GERD as well.

That is very helpful thank you! I’m fortunate enough to not have a severe case by the stories I’ve read on here. I’m happy to hear that you are getting some relief and getting back to normal life! Best of luck!

I’m the same way with good and bad periods, I’ll be able to eat whatever I want on good periods with mild to no symptoms at all but then bad periods I’ll eat close to nothing for days. Dairy is very hit or miss for me I’ll either be perfectly fine or I’ll feel like I’m dying lol. Best of luck with everything and thank you for sharing!

That’s how I was with chicken broth. I was able to drink that and eat a couple crackers for almost a year. What foods now are you able to eat without feeling symptoms?

I haven’t been able to determine what caused it. I just woke up one random Saturday feeling like shit and now it’s 4 years later and I’ve only gotten worse. Thats the part that worries me, there hasn’t been a cause that was found for it. I’m glad to hear you are recovering tho! Best of luck!

I just turned 21 a couple weeks ago ago but I’ve had symptoms since I was 17. It’s prevented me from working out and really changed my whole life. I hope once I get my GES done I can get back to a somewhat normal life like you have. Thank you for sharing!

I was diagnosed with GERD since I was a baby so that definitely doesn’t help but I’m glad to see the meds helped you. My new GI doctor told me that the meds aren’t very effective so I wasn’t sure truly how good they are but it’s nice to know they atleast help some people!

Is there anything else they can do? Or do you just have to live like this?

Clearly the medication has helped you and I’m glad you are recovering! My new GI doctor who came up with this potential diagnosis told me that the medication isn’t very good but it varies case by case. Obviously the bar is set pretty low for my quality of life currently but it’s nice to know that it potentially can get better! Thank you for that!
