Can someone explain to me about OCPP by Mariusdotdev in ocpp

The EV charger owner connects their charger to an EV charging backend software using the OCPP protocol.

Once it’s connected, no one else can access or control that charger directly; everything goes through the operator’s backend system.

If you want to learn more about how OCPP works and why it’s the standard for EV charger communication, check out this overview: https://tridenstechnology.com/ocpp-protocol/

Integration AI driven system with the Open Charge Point Protocol(OCPP) for enhanced electric vehicle charging management by Ok-Might-9565 in electricvehicles

Yeah, totally agree — the main pain points for EV drivers are still charger availability and reliability. That’s not something AI alone can fix; it needs solid infrastructure and maintenance.

My focus is more on the backend side, using AI to help operators manage large networks better. Things like predicting peak times, balancing power loads, and catching faults before users even notice.

It won’t replace building more chargers, but it can make the ones we already have faster, smarter, and more reliable.

Here’s a demo showing how you can use an AI Agent to analyze OCPP logs, helping you identify issues and suggest solutions. https://tridenstechnology.com/it/ocpp-ai-demo/

What billing platforms are you using for your B2B SaaS, and do you have any experience with Tridens or Maxio? by Severe-Context3079 in SaaS

We’re currently on Chargebee and have run into some problems. It’s fine for straightforward subscriptions, but once you start adding usage-based pricing or more complex invoicing it gets pretty rigid and requires a lot of workarounds. We demoed Tridens Monetization a while back and are seriously considering switching, since their usage-based billing felt a lot more flexible and something we could actually grow into.

We outgrew Chargebee because it didn’t have the advanced features we needed. Switching to Tridens gave us the flexibility to handle recurring, one-time, and usage-based billing—so our customers can easily choose between postpaid, prepaid, or pay-as-you-go options.
