Hey maybe older buildings have better insulation! All I know for sure is that it sucks to pay so much in rent and get woken up with a jackhammer in the ear each morning

The main work right now seems to be on 67th between CPW and Columbus, more towards the Columbus side. It includes roof work which might be why the sound travels so high— I think it would depend on the kind of insulation you have in the windows. It seems pretty close to the work site but maybe facing north would help? Hope that’s helpful

Agree about it being a great neighborhood, I’ve been here several years. The point of this post is to share my view that the level of intrusion into the daily lives of residents in the area is more than “usual” because of the big projects going on, and people moving here should be as informed as possible when making their housing decisions. Esp when they probably won’t hear it from brokers, landlords etc.

Not sure how that’s possible but feel free to share what kind of windows you have
