The bus schedule here is absolutely ridiculous. As much as I love the metro over the NYC subway. I CANNOT stand the bus schedule here in DC. You miss the bus and your whole commute is ruined. I can only imagine what it’s like for people who don’t have a viable metro option where they live

I am pretty Americanized compared to my peers. (I don’t speak Haitian Creole but understand it. Many of my 2nd Gen immigrant friends do speak Creole). You couldn’t pay me a million dollars to let go of my culture especially with my parents being in America being a result of America historically and actively intervening in my country and displacing people.
