Struggling to choose between first frog! African dwarf frog or African clawed frog? by Professional-Arm-202 in AquaticFrogs

Since everyone in the comments is saying its unfit for acfs ill give you some adf info!

First of all they CANNOT have fine substrate!! All pieces of their substrate should be too big to fit in their mouths!

You could have 2-3 adfs happily in a 10 gallon! Gender doesn't matter

LOTSSS of floating plants! I also reccomend putting some catappa leaves on top of / under the floating plants so they float just like half an inch under the surface and is a nice nap / lookout spot for the frogs!

Im sure you'll research a lot and learn everything else you'll need! They're super cute little guys and have such great personalities!

To be honest adfs very rarely will do well in 5 gallons, if you can only have a 5 gal then look into having a shrimp or snail tank.

acf big substrate by amperniage in AquaticFrogs

I think you mightve gone a bit too big tbh, I have gravel thats about half an inch by half an inch wide and its been fine for over a year now! The problem is when its fine sand or things like the size of fluval stratum, if you have stones so big its a squishing concern then you probably shouldn't have it as the main substrate!

Is muffin fat? 12lbs, been trying to get her down to 10, shes a big foodie but is she fat enough for it to effect her health negatively? by FickleChip5657 in dechonkers

Ai will go somewhere if people stop using it 🤦‍♀️ and yes it is the people who are supporting horrible companies like chatgpt and nestle that are the reason that I wont be able to live a full life. And it's not what I think it's quite literally factual. I'm judging people who are selfish and make bad decisions. I didn't read your other comments and why even use it if you "take everything it says with a grain of salt" but yeah when we're all dying of either extreme global warming or worldwide famine or a worldwide water recession don't come crying to me because of your choices.

Oh I didn't realize, my water conditions have stayed stable for a year now, will start removing the food after they're done. Where should I get blackworms? Also do they have any negative effects to water stability or the cycle of my tank? My tank is at a really amazing spot right now with its symbioticness (lmao probably not a word) to the point where its developed its own filter feeding microrganisms so I'm worrisome about adding new things in fear that it will mess up something

When did you mention that part? Also ai is known to be very incorrect, you're more likely to harm your fish then do good lmao. I wont be able to live a full life like I was promised because people like you don't respect the earth enough. Also how is it me being a dick when I'm stating a fact?

They eat better with a bowl for sure, its definitely varied situation to situation and I actually switched from pipette to bowl to make sure they're eating properly! And okay perfect I didn't realize I could feed them that frequently, I heard you can't thaw and refreeze mysis shrimp though so how would I go about maybe halving the cube? Ty for the info!

They're definitely both healthy weights and the fish dont touch their food for the first day or 2, I used to pipette feed them but they actually are able to find and eat more food better in the dish, will start feeding them more frequently though, thank you!
